Rumors are that it's Javon Belcher, and he killed his girlfriend then drove to their training facility and committed suicide. I'm sure there will be some sort of official announcement by the end of the day.

What a scary story... and really unfortunate event. Prayers are with all involved.

Well said. Very sad news.

Horrible news. Apparently he killed his girlfriend in front of her mother? That's some cold, evil ####. And now that poor woman has to live with that the rest of her life, and also probably take care of the 3 month old kid that now has two dead parents.

Kind of morbid to wonder...but I wonder if he shot himself in the head. This is another one of those cases where doctors likely want to study his brain

Yes, he shot himself in the head...

I wonder what sort of psychological problems someone must have to do this. If you're going to kill yourself, why take someone else's life in the process? I feel terrible for the families involved in this, and especially for their 3-month old daughter.

...and apparently Crennel is still going to coach tomorrow? I know NFL headcoaches are obsessive workaholics but witnessing a suicide is a pretty traumatic event. Years ago when I was in highschool a coworker of mine witnessed something similar and was in a state of extended shock and intense grief. Guy barely got out of bed for days.

Pure speculation here but it seems like it was premeditated, not a crime of passion like a guy walking in on his wife in the act of cheating. She might very well have been cheating and he discovered it, but he was a sick SOB and planned out a perverse revenge fantasy.

There is a lot we don't know about really happened. Some people when Love crashes between them hurt each other..

In the long run, its a sad story all the way around. I have seen women push men to the limits and men hurt them for

whatever selfish reasons they have.

In the long run their three month old is the victim, more than anyone in this

Randy Moss of NFL Network explained at the top of NFL Gameday Morning that the wife of running back Jamaal Charles and Kasandra Perkins were cousins. Also, Moss explains that Charles’ wife introduced Perkins to Belcher.

Apparently yesterday as well a Brown's employee hung himself in the team's office yesterday as well. As they were reporting on the Fox pregame show during that same segment this morning.

I feel bad for the Perkins family. I hope the coward who played this event out in front of people burns in hell. Everyone has rough times, many have addictions. You dont take the mother of your child with you.
