Percy's Injury could be the turning point

Let me start by saying; percy is dynamic, we need him and we are far better with him on the field. I wish him a speedy recovery.
That said, him being out this game was a good thing IMO. I think he had become too much of a focus, and it had started to show in the last couple of games. I think we saw of mix of the OC needing to be more creative, as opposed to "run PH play number 5" or whatever, it seemed to make each receiver feel the need to step it up and it seemed to make Ponder being more willing to take riskier plays.
I think this game put to sleep the issue of if ponder HAS the skills to be our QB, he clearly does. Now its a matter of consistency. I will be the first to admit that he had some questionable plays this games. But he had a lot more good plays then I remember then in any game this season (apart from maybe the 49ers game).
This my very well be the turning point game IMO that we look back on as the slow climb for ponder.

agreed, its borderline criminal that it took this long for wright to be on our field

Yeah, harvin being out also makes our offense a lot less predictable.

I think the biggest difference was in the play calling. But I still want him back. As long as Musgraves keeps it balanced

I think the offense may very well be better without so much Harvin. Remember the Randy Ratio? Same thing, except that they didn't announce it to the world this time. They didn't have to.

Yep, Musgrave's fault. It's one thing to want to get your play makers the ball but if you have to feed harvin 10 plays, peterson 20 carries, 3-4 deep shots to whomever down the field, suddenly you've formed quite a few easily read tendencies.

The dude is obviously as dynamic a playmaker, if not better, as any receiver we have not named Harvin. He better be a mainstay in the offense from here on out. Speed wins and we have a bunch of it. We have 2 weeks now to get a nice plan for the Bears. Let's do this!
I'm sure they don't see Wright as an outside receiver. And Harvin is obviously our slot guy. However I'm on record with wanting to see if Wright can handle outside duties in lieu of inefficient, slow, plodding Jenkins. If Steve Smith can do it, it's not impossible for a guy of similar stature to be semi-competent in the role (provided he can beat one-on-one coverage). His speed is apparent.

I was hoping he or Robinson would win that job outright. They must not be reliable. And you don't normally activate a specialist like that if they have no other role.

System. Just like Childress before him. You have various receivers for various jobs in various situations.
God forbid we just play the best players. Or mold the offense and play calls to them.

I loved seeing Wright do well today, and I really hope he is a viable and long term option for the WR corps. However, I will wait and see what he looks like after teams get some tape on him. Will he still be able to make plays when a defender discovers his tendencies and how to try and take him out of his game? Personally, I hope the answer is a resounding yes!

Jarius Wright is obviously the post pattern specialist we were missing all season long.
