Josh Metellus safety, I am glad Vikings finally drafted one since Vikings have no one at safety behind Harris and Smith

I read he's not physically dominant but is a great technician.
What? The guys that were claimed to be “solid” were picks within the first 4-5 rounds. They are making the team, 110% guaranteed.S197 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:14 pm Missed out on the guards, Simpson would’ve been a great pick if they didn’t trade out of the 3rd. Missed on Eason and Fromm. 17 picks. All these “solid guys restocking our team” will be cut in 4 months. So tired of watching this guy make the same mistakes for over a decade.
I can just about bet money our starting guards this year will be Reiff at LG and Samia at RG.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:56 pm Not one guard picked until the 6th round. Does this mean Elf is back for round 2 at LG this year?![]()

He's supposed to be a thumper who excels in run support.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:54 pm Josh Metellus safety, I am glad Vikings finally drafted one since Vikings have no one at safety behind Harris and Smith
Plus a 3rd round compensatory for Trae Waynes, and probably extra late round compensatory for a couple other guys we saw walk.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:58 pm With trades, Vikings have two 4th rounders and a 5th next year?
Exactly, they rarely develop into anything which is why stockpiling them is a poor strategy. And it’s even worse in a year with limited time for evaluation and competition.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:56 pmWhat? Like just because he didn’t take a QB to “develop” doesn’t mean it was a mistake. How many 5th-6th round picks “develop” into anything more than a backup?
Lot of tweeners in the LB, S, Big Nickel guys we're selecting. Also some 3-4, 4-3 position flexible guys.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:00 pmHe's supposed to be a thumper who excels in run support.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:54 pm Josh Metellus safety, I am glad Vikings finally drafted one since Vikings have no one at safety behind Harris and Smith
I’ll take that bet.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:58 pmI can just about bet money our starting guards this year will be Reiff at LG and Samia at RG.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:56 pm Not one guard picked until the 6th round. How about Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii? Montez from Colorado? Any other QB prospects worth a try this year at this point?S197 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:02 pmExactly, they rarely develop into anything which is why stockpiling them is a poor strategy. And a long snapper, punter, a pair of kickers, a LB converted to FB, a kid from Germany that’s a Vikings fan, all these are worth a draft pick but not the QB position?
Cole is interesting but I’m not sure if he fits in the Zimmer DNA. He’s a QB that takes a lot of chances and thus has a tendency to turn the ball over a lot and is rather streaky.fiestavike wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:04 pmHow about Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii?
