I know man...I'm ready to move on too, believe me. I didn't intend to put words in your mouth...I just got carried away.
This whole deal just brings up some of my personal biases regarding the wealthy owners vs player dynamics....and
the schism is not limited to the realm of the NFL. It's the whole divide between the haves and have nots and diminishing middle class thing.
At this point, to me, aside from anything he has done, AD represents the working man who's made his money the old fashioned way, (hard work) while the owners, generally, are the silver spooners who excel at profiting off of consumerism and the hard work of others.
There's a part of me that wants to see AD just tell the NFL to stick it and not be about the money. He's made his money. I would like to see lots of people do that, not just pro athletes. I don't like sellouts and I actually think corporate real estate tycoons are some of the worst, in the private sector. I am not at all impressed with the Rams owner, for example.
Anyway, that's my conflict as an oddball fan and what this whole AD deal does in terms of pushing my buttons.
AD will do what he will do and I will have to be more content with what I see in the mirror as far as principles and values go.

@JosinaAnderson
Adrian Peterson to me on his mindset before meeting with the NFL today: "I am anxious to start a new chapter and get on with the rest of my life." Peterson also told me he's eager to share what he and his family went through during his league discipline.

... and in further news...
Adrian Peterson's reinstatement meeting concludes
Peterson's reinstatement meeting with the league has concluded, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday, per a league source.
According to NFL Media's Judy Battista, Peterson was accompanied by a number of lawyers and representatives and met with Commissioner Roger Goodell. The meeting was really about Peterson the father and family man; the NFL wanted to hear how he's progressing with the counseling and therapy that they prescribed as part of their plan to reinstate him, Battista added. A decision is expected in the coming days.
The meeting was ahead of schedule for Peterson, who was supposed to be eligible for reinstatement on April 15.

@murphPPress #NFL files appeal in Adrian Peterson case to preserve Goodell's disciplinary power. 8th Circuit clerk says oral argument in October #Vikings
@TomPelissero NFL submitted its appellant brief in the 8th Circuit RE: the Adrian Peterson case today. Once approved/filed, NFLPA has 14 days to respond.
@TomPelissero The NFL's appeal has more to do with precedent than Peterson, who could be reinstated a week from now even if case isn't in court for months

here's what I think will happen......
1. AD will not be reinstated which will put his future in question and greatly reduce his trade value
2. Vikings will get desperate, not knowing if he will ever be allowed to play in the NFL again
3. Vikings will trade AD to Dallas for much lower than true market value, maybe a 4th rounder
4. Jerry's good friend Roger will reinstate AD hours after the trade is official.
Just my opinion.

It seems like he really, really doesn't want to play in Minny.

No way Peterson does not play this year. The way I see it, any continuation of his suspension is the NFL telling the Judge to take a flying leap. I don't think Goodall is that stupid. It would undermine everything the NFL is trying to do in court.

If the nfl does not reinstate Peterson I think he will have steady ground to being a lawsuit against the Nfl. The suspension he was given is just ludicrous and does not follow the CBA at all. He will be reinstated on the 15th or shortly after.

@murphPPress #NFL appeal in Peterson says Judge Doty "usurped" arbitrator's authority to uphold Goodell supension; cannot substitute his "own judgment."
@murphPPress #NFL asks 8th Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse Doty and remand to the judge "with instructions to dismiss #NFLPA petition." #Vikings

Draft day trade

Seems to me that peterson will be traded on draft day. I'm hoping we stick to our guns and get at least a 1st round pick! I'm hoping it's Jacksonville! Then slick rick can do his magic and trade the pick for a later 1st and 2nd. I'm sick of hearing petersen and his loud mouth agent, it's time to move on and stick Mr Peterson in a place he doesn't want to be! Good Ridance AP!

whatever is going to happen seems to have been determined because Peterson and his Agent have been super quiet lately. So, IMO he must have gotten his way and the Vikings have either received multiple offers for Peterson or verbally agreed to a trade with one team.
I would think the Vikings got a good offer benefiting both the franchise and Peterson for everyone to be this quiet about the situation. I just don't think that his agent would shut up and quit this early if it was just the Vikings saying they wont trade him... JMO
