Not sure how much of a workhorse he could be. I would like to draft a bigger back if we traded AP. Kind of like a Hill/Bernard combo

I agree with this. It would have been better had Seattle outplayed them and won by 10 points or so. But this is the type of game that will get in the psyche of a young team, and it will be extremely difficult to overcome. Its hard to close out close games when you "know" you're going to lose.
Or, it will become the driving force of the team in the future. Failing isn't getting knocked down. It' not getting back up. I would bet that Zimmer will push that next year.

He isnt going to be the 'main' back, like AD has been. I wouldnt mind drafting one that could be the work horse though. But we are stuck with AD for at least a year. Unless Rick could make some kind of deal.
I have wondered how Mck and Asiata could do, as alternating RBs, so they both stay fresh, and wear out a D. And then draft or pick up someone like Starks. Even though today starks looked like a star.

I'm not saying they will quit; Zimmer won't let them do that.....what I'm saying is the next time they are in a close, important (playoff) game, and the slightest thing goes wrong, they will collectively think "here we go again".

Finally got around to watching the post-game interviews. Did Sherman really say "we [Seattle] never get any breaks"!?
Hmm...
1. Tony Romo botched snap.
2. Boykins onside kick.
3. Jermaine Kearse laying on the ground catch.
4. Detroit batted ball.
They've gotten more breaks in recent memory than anyone else. Gah. Why couldn't we just beat them so they had to shut up.

Do you really think a Zimmer-coached team will be that weak-minded?
Man, that is an incredibly pessimistic point of view.

Since I didn't see a thoughts thread for this game....
How about Everson's fake spin move? That was awesome. Can't pull that all the time, but he did it so smoothly and completely faked the defender out.

Locke should be gone regardless because he has a toddler leg and seems to be good for at least one punt a game with atrocious distance, hang time and placement.
I think not even having a competition for Locke was a huge mistake and hindsight being drunken disappointment 20/20, that certainly seems to have been vindicated yesterday.

No hindsight necessary there, many people thought Locke was already terrible before the season. Nothing like having the worst punter in the league. 32nd in AVG and 30th in Net.

“Without a doubt. I definitely take the blame, without a doubt. We almost had it. Just too many missed opportunities,” Peterson said.
Didn't he say the exact same thing after the '09 loss in New Orleans? Taking accountability is cool but progress would be nice.
