Charles Woodson will be released. He is old, but he is good. What do you think?

If you're concerned about Landry's durability then don't bother with "thin crust pads" Woodson. Guy looks lost half the time anyways.

Would prefer giving big money to Dashon Goldson who is the nastiest DB out there

Since the Packers released Woodson, I would not mind it at all if the Vikes picked him up. The basic two reasons that I have are that even at his age I think that he could bring his experience and ability to a team full of young dbs. And secondly to just rub it into the Packer's snouts

Don't get me wrong, linebacker is a much bigger concern. However, the best guys out there have had injuries (Manny Lawson, Thomas Howard, etc.). One guy I am really interested in is Tarvares Gooden. That guy can fly. I always felt like he could be molded into a good cover 2 linebacker.

LaRon Landry is a liability in coverage, I don't see why we'd sign him to the monster contract he'll receive. He's completely overrated and injury prone.

Abdullah took to social media last night and tweeted the above picture of his contract from the Chiefs. The Twitter account claiming to be Abdullah’s is verified. He also posted it on Facebook and Instagram

The Chiefs have yet to announce the move and as Abdullah mentions in his tweet, the deal is unofficially official.
Well, damn. I thought Husain Abdullah and Harrison Smith would have made a nice, and relatively cheap, safety tandem.

Louis Delmas - DB - Lions

The Detroit Free Press says the Lions would like to re-sign free agent FS Louis Delmas to a short-term deal.

If Delmas hadn't missed 13 games games over the last two seasons due to injury, he'd be a candidate for a lucrative long-term contract. When healthy, he's a difference-maker in a secondary desperate for talent. However, the Lions say they won't even use the one-year, $6.8 million franchise tender on Delmas. ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio says he "could be this decade's Bob Sanders."

Now there's a safety I could get on board with. On a reasonably priced, short term prove it deal! Pair him up with Harrison and you have a dynamic safety duo, and if he stays healthy sign him long term.

Greg Jennings - WR - Packers

According to SI's Peter King, Greg Jennings "will likely be disappointed" by his free agent market.

King calls Jake Long another candidate to draw less interest than expected. Jennings is going on age 30 and has missed 11 games the past two years, battling knee and groin injuries. Reggie Wayne's deal could be a logical contract template. The Colts re-signed Wayne last offseason for $17.5M over three years.

Dwayne Bowe - WR - Chiefs

ESPN's Adam Schefter "figures" that the Vikings would be interested if free agent Dwayne Bowe reached the open market.

Schefter does not expect Kansas City to let Bowe walk, but notes that the Vikings spent all last offseason trying to find a receiver and are arguably in even worse shape at the position now. Schefter also mentions the Dolphins as potential Bowe suitors, but they are expected to prioritize Mike Wallace.

I'm really weary of Jennings give his age and injury history. I know this if we sign him I'd still look for a WR in round 1. Whereas if we signed Bowe or Wallace I'd say you can push that back to round 2 or 3.
Do you mean you're wary of Jennings or weary of him? I assume you meant the former, considering the context of the rest of the sentence but since he's been playing for the Packers, appearing in commercials, etc. I wasn't 100% sure which word you meant to use.

I'm wary of all 3 of them. Bowe has a reputation as a player who doesn't always give his all and Wallace is coming off a contentious year with the Steelers and although he's a serious deep threat, I'm not sure if he's a good enough all around receiver to be worth the top dollar contract he's likely to receive. Jennings recent injury history makes him a risk as well but in terms of effort and attitude, I have no questions about him.

I think Jennings wants to come here, but that is just my opinion based on his actions towards the end of the season. FWIW, I think that is a positive. We’ll just have to wait a few more weeks to finds out for sure. Jennings is interesting in that he is best out of the slot. Obviously he’ll be ceding that roll to Harvin, but is that good or bad? I’d think Jennings would be a bit of an insurance policy in some respects, but we also have JW to be that guy. So not sure if that is a negative or not.

I don't think so because Jennings can be a very effective flanker as well. The difference between his inside game and his outside game isn't as significant as it is with Harvin.
