This "discussion" is going nowhere.
"Good fan" / "Bad fan" posts are not permitted. Just because you disagree with someone's views doesn't mean that they're not as much of a fan as you are. Disagree and respond to the post, do not attack the poster.
Keep in mind the bold section and move on.

You have this rigid sense of logic and realism when discussing their successes, but when it comes down to how they aren't a very good franchise you have all the passion of a thousand suns. I've seen people just like you all over the internet who try to play the role of the realistic fanatic, and they always have some sappy story about how they're really actually incredibly passionate.

You're just stuck thinking that you're the only kind of realist because you don't believe the hype. Well that's very good for you that you're cynical and everything, but I don't pay attention to those kinds of things either. 6 months from now when you realize that I was right, I hope you'll change your outlook, and realize that there's more to realism than just doubting everything that you see. It's a very tricky little word. I think at least 95% of the people who believe they're realists I would more appropriately label as pessimists.

The Minnesota Vikings have 18 defensive backs on the roster, but there's room for a Pro Bowler in the secondary.
The Vikings have placed a call inquiring about free agent cornerback Brandon Flowers, who was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs just three seasons after signing a five-year, $50 million extension. Flowers, 28, has at least one interception in each of his six seasons in the NFL, totaling 17 across his career.

In an attempt to get his career on track, free agent QB Josh Freeman will spend this week training with ex-Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden, and next week with noted quarterbacks guru Terry Shea.
Still just 26 years old, Freeman was outlasted on the Giants' roster by Curtis Painter and Ryan Nassib this spring. Gruden is currently an ESPN analyst, while Shea frequently works with rookie quarterbacks leading up to the draft. Freeman will very likely get another look from an NFL team. Whether he realizes his full potential will be up to him. Talent has never been his problem.

Williams revealed, via ESPN.com's Ben Goessling, that his one-year contract with the Seahawks is worth a little less than what the Patriots were offering.
That rejection is a new feeling for the Pats, who are used to veterans accepting less money for a Super Bowl run in New England.
Much to Williams' surprise, the Vikings also made an offer after failing to contact their former star since the start of free agency.

Personally, once a player is a free agent, I don't care what team he comes from, as long as he has the right skill set to do the job. Im sure that Seattle does not have a secret agent waiting outside the Vikings locker room seeing if they can grab someone that we let go. However, if they have a need, and can get our guys to go there for the right price, grats to them. Same with signing ex-Packers. If Rodgers, Lacey, and Burnett were all cut today, I would be disappointed if the Vikings did not make efforts to sign them. And I could say that for players of any team.

I want Kevin to get a Super Bowl ring. However, if I had to sit through him winning one with New England, I would vomit. It's not like I really want to watch him dominate in Seattle like a certain other #93 that went out west back in the day either.
There have been two players in my lifetime I wanted to see with Super Bowl rings: Moss and Williams. It is too bad they could never get one here (and too bad Randy never got one).
