That's 13 OL that will be dwindled. Plus we will be drafting today and usually add 1 or 2 OL.

As far as CB goes....
We have 1st rders Rhodes, Waynes, and now 2nd Alexander. The first two have great length and Alexander will probably be the slot where he matches up with that quick little bugger. In a division where Rodgers wants to throw, Stafford wants to throw, and Cutler too.... We have the CB to defend.
Now we will need to lock up Smith long term and Rhodes soon.

Does anyone have a opinion on Christian Westerman?,looks like he tested well at combine.

Looking back over day two, it's hard not to feel a little disappointed, especially when you notice what the neighbors hauled in:

Lions: A'Shawn Robinson (projected as 1st rounder, was a BEAST at Alabama)
Pack: Jason Spriggs (supposedly the Pack considered him in the 1st; we sure could have used him!)
Bears: Cody Whitehair and some draft picks for moving back 15 spots.

And we took a CB on the short side despite the fact that our coach (known as a "DB Whisperer") has publicly stated that he prefers taller corners.

I'm fine with delayed gratification, so the trade out of round 3 leaves me indifferent; I recognize that the RICKER will have ammo for next year.

It just felt like "one of those days"

He does and they're highly effective when it comes to the passing game and protecting the QB, as the stats below illustrate.

Vikings passing game rankings since Spielman arrived in 2007:

2007: 28th (38 sacks)
2008: 25th (43 sacks)
2009: 8th (33 sacks)
2010: 26th (36 sacks)
2011: 28th (49 sacks)
2012: 31st (32 sacks)
2013: 23rd (44 sacks)
2014: 28th (51 sacks)
2015: 31st (45 sacks)

As you can see, things have only been better in this department since he became GM!

It really did and in no small part because of what the neighbors hauled in. That said, people are correct to point out that it's a pick made with an eye toward the future. I hope Zimmer and Jerry Gray can mold him into a good NFL corner.

Anyway, yes, those stats are ugly and if anybody wonders why I'm not always so enthusiastic about Spielman and his choices, they should help illustrate it. The Vikes passing game has been floundering for the majority of the past decade, it's been getting worse, and I'm not convinced he knows how to put together an effective passing attack.

Well I want to be excited about Alexander, but it's tough after Waynes. After all the hype and great grades he didn't see much action. I hope Waynes pans out and Alexander too. But if not I am going to start questioning Zims ability to pick corners.

Me neither. Worth noting? The 2009 anomaly shows our overall offense rank was top 10, but we STILL gave up a ton of sacks that year. i.e. we were good because of Favre, not because we blocked well that year.
