That's a bit much. Patterson messed up, but he wasn't the one to stand in the end zone with the ball as defenders closed in on him. Ponder needed to get the ball out of his hands faster and the OL needed to block better. i agree, i'm not absolving what happened on the turnover, but he took his eyes off the ball and fumbled at the 5. just because it was lucky enough to roll out of bounds didn't change that it was a big unforced mistakeTexas Vike wrote: That's a bit much. It's too bad the Seahawks Packers game already had the "fail mary" because Ponders final duck today should be called the "fail mary". The ball literally only traveled 50 yards in the air, from his own 45 the ball hit the turf at the 5, a full 10 yards short of the nearest receiver. Pathetic.
