Another thought I had that understandably won't be popular is to sign RG3 and cut Hill. RG3 will be motivated at compete with TB. Then draft Cardale in the 3rd and you're set. TB will have to earn his job.

The problem is RG3 is a horrible QB, he couldn't even compete with Cousins. If he still had his legs that'd be one thing but he is damaged goods, he's basically Ponder that can't run.

I don't think they'll get rid of Hill either way. I think they value having him in the QB room with Teddy and there have been several videos of Hill mentoring/giving pep talks to Teddy in tunnel before they take the field. Hill is the kind of guy who usually makes the best coach. He made the most of very limited physical skills, and to do that you have to understand the game.

RG3 would make a ton of sense in SF as a backup.

i think there are two things that will happen with rg3. the first is he isn't going to come as cheaply as most people think and i think there is a team out there who will give him a legitimate chance to start again.

My theory on how we should improve the offense is that we need to move from forcing the ball to Adrian to letting Teddy become a passer and let AD take a back seat. Letting the pass open up the run can help a lot. Teddy was lowest in attempts and was maybe the only QB in the league to take a back seat to a RB, when you are passing in 3rd down most of the time after running twice its going to hard to be able to get something going through the air. Teddy was one of the most accurate passers in the league. Lets not jump ship. We also need Sparano to judge all the linemen we have and decide what ones are fit for our team and if we need to look outside our current core which I think we do. Adding a big WR would be nice but CJ, Cordarrelle arent small WR's. I would be a little dissapointed on a first round WR at this point considering defense wins championships but I have faith in our Front Office.

Kevin Hogan and Jarrett Boykins would be very late draft prospects. Each player brings an interesting skillset. Hogan to me is solid but unspectacular. Good size, good arm, good tools but nothing special. a prototypical backup that can keep you in the game.
Boykins is exciting. Are you willing to open up the offense and run a 2 minute drill all game?
I am thinking long term after AD retires. We will have a very different type of team. Is TB the guy ? Is he the franchise type to build around like a Wilson, Big Ben, Brady, Manning, Bree's, Rodgers.... ?

Regardless, this team has tools that I think can create mismatches. Just have to utilize those talents.
Of course it all starts up front and then with the QB !!!

Agreed. The Vikings need better QB depth with talent and potential. And they need a backup that isn't a fading veteran.

I think he punched a cop on the River Walk before the bowl game against Oregon, unless I am getting him confused. I think that'll probably drop him out of the draft.

Yes, that's partly what I was alluding to when I wrote "He IS exciting...". I didn't make it clear but I was thinking "perhaps a little too exciting".

newton is incredible. maybe he really is superman. it just goes to show you what a top notch qb can do and we saw 4 of them playing today. i think palmer was injured more than they let on.

I loved the way the Panthers used misdirection on lots of their run plays........something I felt we should have done lots more this season. Their TE is good but I really don't see him better than Rudy. I do realize their OL is a really good unit and Cam is tons better than Teddy but I couldn't help but be jealous of what I seen on the field last night. Hope Zim is moving in that direction with the recent hiring's and with the upcoming draft.
