This gets especially interesting when you compare them to other players.

This stuff is fun. Let me know if you want me to do anyone else. FYI it can all be found here: http://mockdraftable.com/players/2015/

its fun stuff, but looking at the wild variation in the comps I think its still hard to attach a ton of significance to this type of analysis.

I want nothing to do with Peters. Rhodes and Waynes, along with Harrison Smith would be one nasty defensive backfield. Captain can't play outside and nobody wants to see Josh in that spot anymore. Don't be surprised if Zimmer decides to go this route.
I gotta say I'm salivating at the thought of drafting Waynes myself haha. So many guys that would make sense at #11.

Waynes looks pretty awesome. the only arguments I can make against him are that we have a greater need on OL and There is more depth at CB than at 4-3 DE, 4-3 OLB, or S.

Worth noting, there was a guy in a vikings hat sitting at the 5 and another guy in a vikings hat sitting at the 10 during DB 40 times.

I actually might want Wayne's at the 11th spot. Beast, but I also like Johnson? From Wake Forest for some value in the 2-4 rounds

Yeah I really like Johnson. I've mocked us getting him a couple times

I'd be happy with that.
Also want the guard from Utah, Pelosi? Just a big Samoan monster, love it.

IMO, our first round pick needs to be one of the following (in no specific order):

-Amari Cooper
-Davante Parker
-Brandon Scherff
-Trae Waynes
-Melvin Gordon (assuming AP is not back and we trade down from 11)

.....if we don't end up with any of those 5, I would probably be very upset. I'm not a fan of Kevin White, want nothing to do with Marcus Peters, and am not intrigued by another first round OL other than Scherff simply because of Scherff's football IQ and versatility.

If you look at this mock draft, those 5 guys above range right between 11 and 16. http://walterfootball.com/draft2015charlie.php

They are the cream of the crop at that portion of the draft and we need to end up with 1 or more.

Andrus Peat?

Peat is an offensive tackle through and through and I don't believe that is a need right now. We all know they are going to give Kalil another year. If he improves or even plays average enough to re-sign him on the cheap than what good is Peat?? You don't see a 6'7 OL playing guard very often, if ever. Scherff is 6'5 and has the prototypical size to play inside or out. Peat gives you one position. Scherff gives you multiple. So no, I would not want Peat at all.

Jeremiah Poutasi. I agree he should be a guard. It would be awesome to see him here in the late rounds. He was a bit of a disappointment in his sophomore season but seemed to recognize he was slacking off and put in a lot of work to get better.

What did you see from him that you liked?

As far as Utah guys go, everyone knows about Orchard. Poutasi is the other guy along with Rowe that could make some draft noise. Rowe had the second highest 40 time for safeties I believe and has some good measurables. It'll be interesting to see where he gets taken. Clay should have done way better in the 40 and needs to fix that for his pro day if anyone is going to give him a shot.

I like his ability to run block, and he seems to just overpower a lot of DLmen.
Has trouble with the finesse pass rushers though, which is why we whoever gets Him should keep him on the inside.
As far as tackles go, I like Clemmons from Pitt.

Only a singular result, but running a 6.89 or better 3-cone has spelled success for many EDGE players. Only 1 this yr
