I'm just surprised, as a former teammate and as someone still so close to the team, that he'd go there.
I didn't hear that, but I don't listen to KFAN. I'd hate to see Peterson go, I really would. But if we can't restructure that contract, now really would be the perfect time. But again, this can't be said enough: I don't want to see him go.

If that was on the Fanline show - he didn't, it was the Corey, the other host. Leber has said he understands why some people like the idea of trading AD but isn't super keen on it himself.

He has won ONE play-off game his entire career....seems far from elite to me.
glad I'm not the only one who thought the "elite" comment was a little out there! I think the term elite gets thrown around pretty fast and loose these days. to be fair in regards to qb's I think terms like scrub, worthless, sucks, etc. gets thrown around too much too. I think only a tiny fraction of qb's should be considered elite. maybe 4-5. I think the group of "scrub" qb's is also small. then there is everyone else. guys just trying to be closer to elite than they are to scrubs. :D

in regards to romo I think he's certainly closer to the top than to the bottom. but there is no way I'd consider him elite. I don't think defenses fear a guy like romo like they do a manning, brees, Rodgers, brady, etc.

in his career hes basically a 2:1 td to interception guy which I don't consider elite. (209 tds to 104 picks) he's won one playoff game I believe. and failed to get his team in the playoffs in years. nothing says elite to me.

all that said, he's always a pretty good fantasy qb that only relies on yards and td's.
i'm ready for a beer.

The guy isn't the best in the league, but he has consistently put up numbers with talent like Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Patrick Crayton, and Roy Williams. I think sometimes we pick on Romo because it's fun, but he's not as bad as his reputation implies.
You have heard of a guy named Jason Witten haven't you :?:
Career (2003-2014)
881 receptions
9,813 yards.
Romo has built his whole career around him basically.
Do not mistake KINDNESS for WEAKNESS!

i should have clarified. Witten is a very reliable target, but I was referring to his receiver talent. He had TO towards the end of his career and now Dez, but for the numbers this guy puts up he has made some inferior talent over perform.

He's not the best in the league, but he's not as bad as many people think.

I would think tampering works both ways. Since AD is the one who initiated the call then he should be the one investigated for tampering more so than JJ IMO.
