Yes and you have made a hundred posts about
Do not mistake KINDNESS for WEAKNESS!
Best to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool rather than open it and remove all doubt.
But that is what a bust means. It doesn't matter what outsiders thought about Ponder. Whenever the team drafts a player in the 1st round and he doesn't meet the team's expectations, then he qualifies as a bust. The Vikings obviously had him valued very high on the boards, but for what reason I don't know.
But to stick to the main topic. I am very happy we chose Bridgewater and didn't get Manziel. I feel like Bridgewater has a better fit here than Manziel would have. On paper, Bridgewater is everything we need in the QB. Excellent with the play action, pocket passer, accurate, high IQ, and poised under pressure. Sometimes our O-Line fall asleep on the field and poor guys like Ponder and Cassel have a hard doing anything on the field. Bridgewater has a very quick release so I believe we won't have to worry about the pass rush too much anymore when he starts.
