Re: Teddy Bridgewater
So went to work this morning and a few vikings fans i work worth hated this pick. Said Teddy is the next Joe Webb. I had to laugh and just walk away. How can you compare a guy who a few months ago was thought to be a #1 pick, a pocket passer, and actually good to Joe Webb who was drafted to be a WR, a scrambling QB, and a backup if not 3rd string? Other than black they have no similarities. I'm glad I have this board to look at and write on occasion to hear actual legitimate comparisons and opinions. But for me I am very excited to have Bridewater. Excited to see him play in 2 seasons!!

The next Joe Webb?!
Do your coworkers happen to be females who don't watch football? That's ridiculous.

i think what isn't being discussed is the fact that norv turner loved bridgewater and i'll take his opinion over anyone's. he's been doing this for years he knows who has potential and who doesn't.

I couldn't agree more. Norv Turner being a fan of Bridgewater's work is a great endorsement.

If them porkchops are fried, his cholesterol numbers and blood pressure will be off the chartsEli wrote:According to the collective bargaining agreement, how soon can the Vikings get Bridgewater into their weight room? Four or five months of pounding it in the weight room, plus a huge pile of pork chops and potatoes and we shouldn't be afraid of putting him on the field against grown men.

We get a total steal in the draft and pick up a QB who was nearly a consensus #1 draft pick for a year (who happens to be black)... and we also get to find out who's racist on the Vikings message board.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
So, been a while. Hi guys. Anyhow I have been working 12 hour days and my friend called me and told me about the draft as I was unable to watch it and I guessed Barr and when he told me they got a QB i guessed who it was as well.
Very happy it isn't JFB.
TB will be a good QB, probably never great but compared to Ponder or Cassel, he is much better long term. Can't wait to watch him play as a vike.

Teddy will slowly and methodically move the chains. And then hit the guy for 20. And he will do it all quietly, celebrate with his teammates, and show great character. He makes fast reads, runs only as last option, and plays smart. Man, I hope he can play some the first year. But we gotta spend big money and get Johnson out of there, and hope Loadfat can lose a few pounds and not get beat on the bull rush.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
I wanted either JFF or Justin Gilbert at #8; but the more I learn about this kid and listen to him, the more he wins me over. I would rather he warm the bench and learn the first year or two though, as we already have one first-rounder who was thrown into the fire too soon and was hurt by it. Unless, of course, he does pull a Russell Wilson and just blows everyone away in training camp.PurpleKoolaid wrote:Teddy will slowly and methodically move the chains. And then hit the guy for 20.
