Re: 2016 NFL Draft thread
well apparently Rick isn't even drinking the koolaid that we have a great roster with only a few holes to plug. He's still trying to stockpile as many picks as possible.
Re: 2016 NFL Draft thread
It's okay. It looks like Trader Rick isn't having enough fun this year and he's working to make sure he gets his 10 picks for next year.dead_poet wrote:Meh. It's great value even if it's not sexy.

Seriously, it's solid value mathematically but the downside is we don't know where Miami will be picking next year and by losing the 3rd round pick this year, the Vikes also lose a year of development for a player they could have drafted tonight.

I sure hope Sullivan is fully recovered is all I can say. And Fusco returns to PFF superstar status.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft thread
Is there any early talk about whether next year's draft class is going to be a particularly strong one? If we knew that, or the opposite, it would change our perception of the trade.Maelstrom88 wrote:I like picking up an extra 3rd and 4th next year.

Offensive linemen? Where we're going, we won't need offensive linemen!
Re: 2016 NFL Draft thread
Glasgow still out there. Between Harris/Fusco we're ok. But I agree about Sully. Westerman out there too. Would be a nice fit at guard.S197 wrote:I sure hope Sullivan is fully recovered is all I can say. And Fusco returns to PFF superstar status.

Not sure it matters -- it's so far away. So much can change.John_Viveiros wrote: Is there any early talk about whether next year's draft class is going to be a particularly strong one? If we knew that, or the opposite, it would change our perception of the trade.

If I remember correctly, it's supposed to be a good class for RBs. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

agreed. the OL is the biggest ? next season. It could be pretty solid......or it could be an even bigger disaster than last year.S197 wrote:I sure hope Sullivan is fully recovered is all I can say. And Fusco returns to PFF superstar status.

Treadwell's an excellent run blocker. You'll take it and you'll like it!Mothman wrote:

Re: 2016 NFL Draft thread
I've usually heard that you discount a pick by one round for the upcoming year. So next year's 3rd and 4th, are like this year's 4th and 5th. Sorry that I can't look up the reference. I heard it so long ago, I just came to accept it as the way they all see it.Mothman wrote: It's okay. Miami's last seven season win totals: 7, 7, 6, 7, 8, 8, and 6. Looks like upper (lower choice) edge of the middle of the round, pretty darn consistently.
