I'm sure his agent and him are more concerned with the surrounding team *now* than whatever happened a few years ago. If this was part of their concern.

I dont see the surrounding team as an issue at all. It's the higher ups that he's ticked off at. Nothing to do with the team itself

This is almost turning comical now. I guarantee Spielman has zero intention of trading AD away righy now. I am at the point now where I want him on the team just to see what happens next... Training Camp? Preseason? This is outstanding.

That would be entertaining but I want him traded for picks. Vikings have done a very good job in the draft recently and can add to that. Lets add some more players who'll help the team long-term rather than trying to force an unhappy player to stay.

the problem is i just don't think any team out there really wants him. if they did a deal would have been reached by now. with each passing day i think we are stuck with him and i don't see him sitting out another whole year.

I agree. Too old, too much money and too much whooping. He'd be a PR nightmare.

Time to laugh a little:
Mackey: An apology to Adrian Peterson, on behalf of the Vikings

amazing how quick people are to jump on the just trade him train. I mean I really want a trade, but 4 months ago if you suggested a trade of ap you'd be met with tons of people telling you that you are foolish.
Now its clear he doesn't want to play here, but people seem ok justifying it now as opposed to anyone that suggested it earlier last year.

The camel was under contract and showed up and did its job despite not wanting to be there. Probably wouldn't have been able to get more than a tired zebra and a couple of pink-backed pelicans for him anyway. Can you imagine riding a pink-backed pelican into a birthday party? It would've been ridiculous.
I heard tell that it was not a camel after all but a poor horse that AD had beaten with a 2x4 causing two very large humps/lumps on his back.

If AD wanted out of Minnesota, he should have thought about that before signing a contract through 2017 to play for the Minnesota Vikings. That, or, maybe he should have thought of that before disciplining his child in an illegal way and making himself un-marketable. I'd love to see a happy AD in this offense with Teddy leading the charge, but I don't understand how a guy who was just paid for the majority of a season where he worked only 1/16 of the year, got suspended, and put his team in the middle of some nasty/negative press is trying to play the victim in the scenario. I hope that Mackey article makes it to AD so he can see how entitled and stupid he looks.
AD has made ALL of the missteps in this situation, not the organization. I've been supportive of AD since the beginning but it sounds like the man doesn't want to be a part of the team that I love, so now I wish him no success at all until he proves that he wants to be here.
I'd love for the Vikings to draft a stud RB and put AD third on the depth chart behind the rookie and McKinnon for a game or two. Or better yet, let him sign with a contender in 2017/2018 and win a Superbowl with AD as a backup and adding little to no value to the team. That is, of course, if the Vikes aren't contending by then...

This needs to be brought up again: Adrian was not paid for every game that he missed last year. He was paid for the first 9 games where he was in the exempt list, but he was not paid for the last 6 games when he was actually suspended.
