I am not going to be so easy on them Jim. There is no excuse for letting Hester and Antoine Smith (of all people) abuse the left side of the defense on basically the same play. There is no excuse for the pathetic tackling we saw all game. The team needs to learn how to get off the field on third down still. Today, we saw the same issues on defense that been there for years and years. That being said, Harrison Smith gives me hope. Anthony Barr looks promising. Everson Griffen and that defensive line though? I am very, very disappointed in their performance today.

I don't think this is the same defense at all. Not even close actually. The number of passes that were tipped or deflected by our CBs alone marks a HUUUUUUGE difference in how we are playing defense under Zimmer.we saw the same issues on defense that been there for years and years. You are absolutely right about that. Isn't it amazing how much difference good Ol play makes? the running game was rolling. Bridgewater had the time to make plays and he did it. I agree that they need to clean that stuff up. We basically said the same thing but as I said, it's a work in progress.
