Ponder had a better game than Bridgewater did against the 49ers.

he didn't look slow at all. In fact, he looked like he was hitting the line of scrimmage too fast, not letting his blocks develop at all.

of all the things that went wrong today, Adrian Peterson is the least of my worries

its like... everything I thought I knew about this season was just a lie. We are the same old team as usual. I don't know how I let my guard down thinkin' it'd be different this time. Even though I knew very well in my mind..

Atleast our secondary isn't terrible outside of our safety opposite of Harrison...that's all I can say that was good about this game.

Just for $hits and giggles do a little google research of running backs at 30 years of age. On average from what I read production goes does down 40% from their peak at 27 years old (not sure about acl injury factor might be more). Just FYI folks. But hey come on AP prove the stats wrong!! :v):

Just a disappointing game overall. I know it's one game but this type of performance tonight don't give you much to look forward to for the next game other than hope. Just really disappointed with the offensive unit as a whole. They didn't look prepared at all. They played soft. That included Norv Turner. The playcalling was terrible. No way Peterson should be having minimal carries as he did. I don't know if that was Zimmer's call or Turner's but that was dumb of them to do. That's our best player still. He's no good to us on the sidelines. He had all of last year away from football, let the man play. He's not getting any younger. Let's use him as much as he can while he still has something left in the tank. Those 3 pass plays after the blocked FG was just plain stupid.

I'm guessing they game planned to go pass heavy. they've been saying all weak, "we'll do what we're good at". I think the take away from this game is that they are worse at running than they are at passing. a dark thought!

4 games if we're lucky.

If they don't improve dramatically I can see us going into our week 10 game with the Raiders at 0-8 and needing to get a win to avoid the very real potential of a no-win season.

I have a hard time believing that Bridgewater is the answer for QB. Can we trade for McCarron? His passes look like somebody throwing a softball to a six year old girl. Or landing an egg on a pillow. Take your pick. The honeymoon is over with him. And who do you orally have to gratify to get a LB that can actually play LB?
How many times did a safety make a tackle when a LB should. I saw too many times DL downfield making tackles. All you have to know is Hodges making a tackle five yards downfield and jumped up and celebrated like he won the lotto to know we have diddley at LB.
I thought that the O line played decent considering. Turner and his playcalling is more predictable than the atomic clock and from what I saw, we are not winning six games this year.
It is hard not to have a knee jerk reaction and it is only one game but after all of the build up and hype, PFFFFFFFFFFFT! :wallbang:

Good game ladies and gentlemen and other than Reggie Bush's calf I don't think there were too many other injuries.

Hopefully both teams can meet again this season a few months down the road in the playoffs.

Good luck the rest of the way. It's a long road.
