Your Ends get pushed up the field, the DT's get locked up and then the QB can rush for 200 yards a game if he really wanted to. Same thing with the soft coverage, the same run 5 yards out, come back 2 for the 3rd and 3 pick up gets you the first down over and over.

At some point you have to try to jump a route on that one!
Cover 2 just doesn't work now. Not with tight ends and the quarterback play of the modern era. It is just done.

The only two teams that run it are the Bears and the Vikings and both of 'em have terrible pass D.

Has Peterson broken one since the first carry of the season against Detroit?

Right. You blitz and then nelson takes it 70+ yards for a TD or you man up and the packers beat you anyway (as they were doing in the first quarter).

There is no scheme that will rush the passer, tackle and cover for you.

These players are playing like ####.

They're clearly getting outplayed but it's more than that. The announcers have said it multiple times, you can't rush four and sit in a shell and expect magic.

Why the infatuation with him? I still stand by Cassel being our best chance. He's gotten our only win and had the
best play in a game of any QB. Why did we just throw him away?
