Yeah those long punts (great for stats) really helped win games and especially the ones to Hester (Yes those were the ones that the coach told him NOT to).

Not a big Kluwe fan and I will be glad if and when this dies down.

My Christian Ponder threads had long strings. I'll never forget my, "I still believe in Christian Ponder as our staring QB," thread. The heat towards that thread was so bad that people were making mockery threads such as "I still believe in *enter QB's name here* as a starting QB."

These homosexuality debates had nothing on Ponder threads. It got to the point where you may have a non Ponder thread but as soon as someone mentions his name in the post, the entire thread would turn into a Ponder topic.

Good times... Some people thought I was trolling with my Ponder support but I really thought he was going to turn it around last year.

Oh yeah, you could make a religion/abortion/homosexuality/politics thread and wouldn't get nearly as heated as a Ponder thread. I still maintain that Cassel wasn't any better, but don't tell anyone because I'd be worried about people throwing bricks through my window.

I agree. for many people, if you didn't mock the pick of ponder the second we drafted him you were going to hear it.

my personal favorite was in any thread, if you dared to mention other units who played poorly i.e. the offensive line or receivers...you were most certainly a "ponder apologist".

seriously, you could not even mention CP's name but clearly if you thought the line played like crap or the defense was atrocious, you were just saying that because you loved ponder and were making excuses for his poor play.
