I am happy we are 6-1. We are winning ... but,,,,

Our six wins . The records of those teams are

Wins. 17 wins and Losses 29.

We have 5 games coming up
Buffalo 6-1
Dallas 5-2
Patriots 5-3
Jets 5-3
N.Y.Giants 6-2

Over all record
27 wins 11 losses

Detroit gave us one. Close every other outside of maybe GB..was never safe from losing.

How many of the above 5 teams do we beat. They all will be tougher than what we faced so far. Outside of the Eagles.

Are The colts, commanders, Packers, Lions , Bears, all give me wins. I say no. Just like the five upcoming games may not be guaranteed losses.

We have a hard road ahead and very lucky to be 6-1.

I will be cheering strong, bleeding purple we beat most of those teams coming up. I guess enjoy what we have going

I didnt intend for this to be a downer post.

Just believe we will have to play better than what we have
It’s the NFL. All wins count.

Do you honestly think our roster is significantly better than the Cardinals’? It’s not. Yet we won by 8, but the most frequent comment on here is that we should’ve won by more. This from a fan base that has watched the Vikings go a completely joyless 15-19 over the past two years, losing to Cooper Rush and winless Detroit. We blew games against Cincinnati, Arizona, Cleveland, Baltimore, San Francisco …on and on. This year, with 80% the same roster, we find ways to win. Yet this fan base says we’re lucky.

Yes, there’s luck involved. But that’s not the same as lucky. The Vikings scored 34 points yesterday, and you’d think we won 7-6. We were in complete control of this game from start to finish.

Biggest thing for me … this team is EASY to root for. They play for each other. They believe in their coaches and their system. They LOVE their fans. They have fun.

I’m not crazy enough to think this team can’t lose again. But until they do, I’m not going to cry about how we win our games. I love this team. And I’ll tell you this. They can beat anyone. Even Philly. Even Buffalo. Even Kansas City. Will they beat everyone? Not likely. But they’re good enough to win any game, and they’re getting better.

That’s my take. I’m enjoying the hell out of watching this team. If they make improvements, great. If they lose in the first round, OK. We didn’t expect a Super Bowl inYear 1. But big picture, this franchise is headed in the right direction. You can’t convince me otherwise. And it’s about time.
I am not saying we should win by more. I am happy to be 6-1.

I am just saying we beat 6 middle of the road teams and struggled to hold on. Last year we would have lost them

We will see how we do with the Bills, Cowboys,Giants, jets, patriots.if we can’t beat them we are pushing 500. Probably make the playoffs. But will we go anywhere when we do.

HopefullyT.J.Hokenson sp TE we picked up from Detroit helps

I am cheering we winm6-7/games with remaining teams

I agree with you, but I also see a Vikings team that actually can play better than they have and is trending in the right direction.

Put another way, the team is 6-1 with upside. That's a very good place to be at this point in any season.

As you note, the Vikings are going to be tested now, but I believe they can pass those tests. I see a team with great chemistry and camaraderie, a team that believes in itself, and a team that is stepping up in key moments and making plays. It's been a long time (probably the 2017 team with Keenum at QB) where I saw a Vikings team where the players really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
They are competing. Glad we are the Vikings fans, not Detroit, Chicago,Arizon, GB etc

I think Vikings will lose to the Bills. that is pretty much it
The Bills look like the best team in the league and we play them on the road. I don't count that as a sure loss, but anybody who is expecting us to win that game is oblivious to reality. I can live with you expecting us to lose that game.
Awin would sure be sweet. We are beating the teams we should be. The meat of the schedule is coming up

7-3 over the remaining 10 gives us a 13-4 record. I would be just fine with that. 6-4 over the remaining 10 guarantees we win the division unless the pukers go 9-0. Less than what I want, but not disastrous.

I would be happy with that. But we haven’t won those seven yet. Second half schedule tougher than first. We could go 5-5. Which would make us 11 and 6. In the playoffs. Every or any game there. Will be tough.

I guess my point is the schedule ahead is imo maybe 65% tougher than what we face. We will have to way better than what we faced so far, except for GB,Chicago,Detroit, Washington"

Washington’s won 3 strait. Might be a interesting game.

From a 6-1 start to a 5-5 finish is unacceptable. It's not going to happen we will win at least 6 more maybe 7 or 8 more.

The Vikings won the games they should have won. Maybe not pretty, maybe not dominant, but all wins and, I believe, in most of those games their opponents were the ones who needed the last-second heroics to have a chance.

The remaining schedule does appear tougher on paper, but who knows? All sorts of things can happen as the season goes on, both to the Vikings and to their opponents. Plus, of those teams you list, I'd consider only the Bills to be a truly complete team. Dallas, the Giants, the Jets and the Patriots all have serious and exploitable flaws. Not saying the Vikings will necessarily win because of those flaws, but on a pure talent basis, I'd say only the Bills have arguably better overall talent.

Even against the Bills I don't concede anything. They are a good team, sure, but I think the Vikings will show much better against them than they did against the other complete team they've faced so far this year (that being the Eagles).

As far as going anywhere in the playoffs, who knows? All I can tell you is, if this team keeps playing for each other and keeps believing, anything is possible. I've watched many really good Vikings teams over my years as a fan. I've watched Vikings teams put together some amazing runs. And I've watched every one of those teams also fall short. Some fell short early in the post season while others fell short later, but every one of those teams failed to grab the ultimate prize. So I'm not going to get too worked up on how "good" this year's team is compared to any other team, past or present. Instead, I'm going to focus on the "bigger picture" things that I see from them, from the way they play for each other to the way they seem to be enjoying it to the way they are winning. I've mentioned this year's team has a great "vibe" to it, and while I've watched some really great and talented teams in the past, if there has been a Vikings team that can literally will itself to come back or make the plays necessary to win, this year's team is that team.

To put that in practical terms, in this last game against the Cardinals there was a point where my son was really getting down. The Cardinals had pulled close and he was convinced the Vikings were going to blow it. But me? This is the first year *ever* where I really wasn't worried. In the past, I'd have been right there with him, convinced the team was going to find a way to lose, much like they did in those moments last year. But this year I was completely calm. Somehow, I knew the opposite was going to happen. This year's team would not lose, and would instead find a way to win. It is truly weird. It feels like someone put a spell on me, because I am not used to this at all, but I just wasn't worried.

We'll see how things go, but I really feel like this is going to be a special year for all of us. I can't prove it, but somewhere deep down I just know it. This year's Vikings team is going to be that team that finds a way to win when the chips are down. They'll claw for it, fight for it, bite for it, be on the receiving end of the improbable bounce or questionable call or non-call, but whatever it is and whatever it takes, they're going to be on the right side of it more often than not. :smilevike: :govikes:

I am not conceding the game to Buffalo either. Will have to play a lotetter than they have to do so.

Cowboys, patriots, Giants, Jets May have there flaws But still better, than Detroit,Chicago,Saints, Arizona, maybe not Miami had Tua played

But let’s do it

Take a look at this analysis of a Za’Darius Smith sack against the Cardinals. It’s a great example of the impact Danielle Hunter has on any game he plays, even if he doesn’t get credit for a sack or a pressure.

I noticed that game, protection was sliding his way a lot and he was getting chipped a TON.

Another breakdown of the Mattison touchdown and why the play was so effective.

I’m a nutshell, Brian Baldinger describes it with two words — Justin Jefferson.
