Man, the Pats have benefited from an awful lot of calls in their favor tonight. When the broadcast "replay specialist" routinely tries to convince me that the call should go in favor of one team, it smells funny.
This league protects Brady in a very biased way. That roughing the passer call was BS.
The roughing call was classic Brady, although at least he didn't whine his way to the penalty.
But the other calls have actually been pretty solid IMO. Well, except for the pick play to Sammy Watkins. I guarantee you, if that had been the Vikings' receiver who blew up two DBs without even a hint of actually running a route, there would have been a flag.

No doubt.
I'm sick of the Patriots. But man, that Brady. He just finds a way.

I wrote my post before that no call; but I agree that it should have been called. I did enjoy seeing Belichek throw his tablet in frustration.

Jeez, Brady is like a cockroach. You just can't kill him.
As much as I hate to do it, I gotta hand it to the Patriots. Nine Super Bowl appearances with B&B. Ridiculous.

I really didn't care who won this game. I like Tom Brady a lot, so maybe I was ever so slightly leaning toward NE... But I was sweating and pacing in the 4th quarter. I am so glad the Vikings were not in that game because I would have had a heart attack. That could very well be the best football game I've ever seen.

Brady was very average in today's game, the Pats running game was the real superstar but of course he'll get all the credit. And of course he gets another opportune phantom roughing call. Even after he got one he flops and tries to draw another.
If Ford lines up a half yard back the Chiefs are in the SB. Not to mention the overturn of the muffed punt. What happened to indisputable evidence?
I'm not one to complain about the refs often, they have tough jobs and the Chiefs had a lot of opportunities. But the Patriots get an inordinate amount of beneficial calls that go their way at crucial times.

I honestly don't know what game you were watching. They showed multiple angles that proved that he never touched the ball.
The first game was a travesty. The second game was much better. I suppose anytime new england wins its because of the refs for some. But whatever.

The phantom roughing the passer was really the only blown call. Replay got it right on the other calls imo. Like said above, multiple angles proved that he never touched the punted ball.

Did New Orleans get screwed? Yep. Do I care? Nope. They got their Super Bowl when they beat up Favre with late hits THEN win a coin toss in OT, throw a bomb, get a pass interference call (that wasn't pass interference), and kick a FG. Another case of a team not even getting a chance to touch the ball in OT....just worse in that case because the Saints just needed to get in FG range. So I will never feel sorry for the Saints.

I agree with others who said that was the most satisfying ending to a game without the Vikings participating !!!!
The only thing that would have been better is if Brees had separated his shoulder on his OT pick! I know that sounds horrible but he’s the only player I wish injury on after he completely defended his Bountygate defense (while whining as much as Brady whenever he is touched- )

I'd rather see Sean Payton blow out his knee running after the refs.

Don't forget the first down that shouldn't have been, when Chad Greenway knocked the ball loose from Pierre Thomas but the officials said Thomas maintained control. Or the play to Devery Henderson that set up the game-winning field goal. Or how there were THREE booth reviews on New Orleans' drive in OT, ALL of which went the Saints' way.
And I'm hearing Chiefs fans expressing their butt-hurt that Kansas City didn't get the ball in overtime. Let's not forget ... the NFL changed the rule where a field goal on the first possession can't win it -- BECAUSE OF THE SAINTS "VICTORY" OVER THE VIKINGS. I have no sympathy for you, Chiefs faithful (and that includes the millions who suddenly became Chiefs fans this weekend).
By the way, how amazing was Tony Romo yesterday on his calls, especially late in the game? The guy predicted play after play, based solely on what he saw when the quarterbacks were at the line. Makes you wonder why he couldn't win more as a player. Clearly the man knows the game, especially from the QB's point of view.

Hated Romo as a Cowpuke. Really like him as an announcer. He is the best one on the tube right now.
