I think Harris is a must keep and he's the only one of the 5 set to hit FA. When you add in a FA and a draft pick or two, it gives us pretty solid depth. Plus add in Berger, Clemmings and even Shepard who gets some time here and there.

I don't think it is necessary to invest a high pick in them. You can definitely draft good OL out of rounds 2-5
I think we need t o move on from Fusco and Sullivan... they are waht they are, and I have always thought Fusco was overrated, and with Sullivan having a BACK injury, i am worried about his effectiveness going forward. I would be ok with keeping them both as backups or for depth, but to me, they aren't the best options for us long term.

I'm starting to get that feeling with Sully but I'm not so sure with Fusco. He was a pretty good RG and hasnt fit in at LG. He's too young to give up on yet IMO.

PHP, bro, you literally do this every time someone disagrees with you. You try to argue and proceed to belittle others. It gets old.

I am with Jim. Mike Harris has not been anything more than adequate. I would personally love to see the offensive line upgrade at both guard positions this offseason. Would Harris be someone who I would be comfortable with for depth purposes? Absolutely. As a starter? Not so much.

the entire exchange was bait-y on both sides. why quote it? you agree on Harris, Jim asked everyone to drop it. Drop it.

I honestly am not in love with any of our OL people we have two guys which seem okay and have been hurt
quite a bit. Second season Loadholt has missed many games. Sullivan missed the majority of this season.

My son suggested (if we deem Loadholt, as replaceable) moving Kalil to RT and redoing his contract.

I think we need to draft 2-3 OL early and add at least one FA. Next season carry one less CB and WR
on the roster.

I am not sure what Easton and Cirles offer but being that they have not cracked the line up? it does not
look like they are true starters, but it could be the coaching staff wants to have the same line up for
consistency. Shepard impressed me but we were playing a team who had nothing to play for and were
way behind in the game.

HVF, I'm not going to get into this on here but feel free to PM me

As for Harris, once again he's graded out very high throughout the season according to PFF and I couldn't tell you the last time he gave up a sack or missed a block in the run game. So like I said before, until someone proves to me that he's "adequate" I don't know how anyone expects me to believe it. I haven't seen any evidence to prove he's "adequate".

I'm not sure if moving Kalil to RT would solve much. It's a pretty risky move. We moved Fusco from RG to LG and his play dropped off tremendously. Not saying that would necessarily happen with Kalil but it's a risky play either way

What about Fusco at Ccenter? Didn't he play center at some point, or am i confusing him with someone else?

No you're right. He was actually a center in college. Not in the NFL but that could definitely be a possibility. I wouldn't mind that and then sign or draft a good LG because Fusco definitely seems out of his element at LG

Just move fusco back to RG where he's serviceable and find a new LG.

But then what do you do with Harris? He's been as good as Fusco has in the past at RG

a lot depends on what happens with sully and loadholt. if they come back and kalil keeps his 5th year option then financially there isn't much you can do to upgrade the o line. with the players under contract for 2016 we will have close to 34 million invested in the line, which btw is 2nd in the league. if all enter 2016 healthy i'd be fine with a line of kalil, fusco, sullivan, harris, loadholt. not great but solid, and it allows berger and clemmings to be the top backups who are capable of playing multiple spots. the deal with harris is pretty cut and dry. you either sign him to be the right guard, or you let him walk, because he's played good enough to get a 2-4 year deal somewhere.

Exactly. There's no way Harris takes backup money. He isn't going to command a ton of money but we would definitely have to give him a decent chunk of change

Hasn't Harris played other positions before? Although, he has had a very good season, so maybe you don't want to move him out of where he is at...
Can Kalil play LG?
