droped 10 picks for a 7th....
A message board dedicated to the discussion of Minnesota Viking Football.

There has to be something else. They didn't trade there 5th to just move down to the 7th.HardcoreVikesFan wrote:So... We traded down all the way just for an extra seventh?
Where are you seeing this? I'd hope they would get more.Canuck wrote:droped 10 picks for a 7th....
Not sure, but to me that either means we have a BUNCH of guys we still like and are fine moving down, or we don't like anyone that much at this point. Yanky was the clear BPA and we got him so maybe the rest of the board isn't that worthwhile just yet.HardcoreVikesFan wrote:So... We traded down all the way just for an extra seventh?
This makes more sense. Ticker on NFL network hasn't updated though. We should be picking here again in a few minutes.Canuck wrote:droped 10 picks for a 7th....
Yep great call. This was the pick from dropping 8 to 9. Yankey seems like great value at a position of need - and I like that he's from Stanford, he should have a good head on his shouldersPurpleKoolaid wrote:To me, seeing Yankey on the board (I honestly wasn't paying too much attention cause I thought he was gone) is like having HA HA on the board yet. Its like getting a 3rd rd guard. And we got this for trading the 8th pick.
Did it make any sense to you that Spieman was smart enough to get a fifth round pick for moving back one spot in the first round and then take that 5th round pick and draft one of the best gaurds in the draft.Jeffbleedspurple wrote: Makes no sense to me either
They had the 10th pick in the 7th round.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:I don't think the Panthers have a 7th round pick, so it must have been for their 28th pick in the 6th round
According to my ESPN APP they got the 10th in that round.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:I don't think the Panthers have a 7th round pick, so it must have been for their 28th pick in the 6th round
