Yeah, the coach shouldn't have to repeat every question. They need an audio guy to manage audience mics on/off when asking questions.

The Vikings always have that problem. It's maddening. How hard is it to get a #### microphone in the audience?

I liked this line from Zim:

"Bill Parcells used to have a big sign in the facility -- and I may put one up, too -- that said, 'Dumb players do dumb things. Smart players very seldom do dumb things,' and it's true," Zimmer said. "I want us to all understand that we all represent one another, and all of our livelihoods are based on how (we all) do. That's one of the things that we tried to do, tried to (set up) a good educational environment, football-wise."

I enjoyed that. I'm coming around on Zimmer and definitely liking what he says. Figure out how to use the guys you have, play to their strengths, compensate for their weaknesses. Hold everyone accountable and expect them to act like professionals on and off the field. Going forward, it's looking like the number one thing that will get someone cut will be to make boneheaded plays. I like that, because a major problem the Vikings have had on defense has been players playing out of position, not knowing their roles and making bad decisions. Field an aggressive team, field and exciting team, and ultimately be proud of the product that you put out there.

Mike Zimmer waited a long time to get his first NFL head-coaching opportunity with the Minnesota Vikings.

After he lost out on yet another job in early January, Zimmer almost walked away from the entire coaching-search process.

"I almost didn't go (on the second interview with Minnesota), yeah. I was so disappointed," Zimmer told Fox Sports at Saturday's NFL career-development symposium. "It was like, 'Why even do this?' It was to that point. I figured I was getting too old. I thought, 'Forget this.'"
