And 300 against the Packers at Lambeau field.
See I told Packer fans 300 at Houston. Then every run against the Packers becomes another record breaker.

 Guess it can't be at Lambeau field since we play them at home.

Interesting article regarding AP's amazing year and how it stacks up all time.

I found this stat pretty impressive too.
Adrian Peterson has 36 fewer rushes than Arian Foster this season with 499 more yds.

Adrian also has more rushing yards (1313) since week 7, than Ponder has passing yards (1093).

And Adrian has more TDs (9) than Ponder (7) 6 passing, 1 rushing.

Someone posted these stats in a picture at another site. Haven't checked them yet. Even if close, pretty impressive.

Looks like Calvin Johnson will break the single season receiving record. To me, makes it ironic and great it would be for AD to break the rushing record.

Yeah, so much for the Madden cover curse. Well, he only has 5 TD's this season...

Yeah he had been averaging 7.46 ypc in his previous 8 games. That's unheard of in this league. You only see averages like that in college.

After getting shutdown by the Texans (pretty good when 86 yards is considered getting shutdown) even 2000 is no longer a guarantee. If the Packers sellout on stopping the run like the Texans did, I could see them holding him under 100 too. The question is, if he's around 1970 or 1980 and we have a big lead late, does Frazier keep him in to go for it, or do we save him for the playoffs?

And he'll reach 207 midway through the 4th, but Frazier will take him out to rest him for the playoffs. Seriously I seem to remember Childress doing that with AD in his 296 game and it took some encouragement from the players to get him to put him back out there for the record. Or maybe I was just yelling at my TV for nothing.

First of all, if AP runs for 207, he ties the record. So if we're going to go totally into sky-is-falling mode, I think you have to say he runs for 206 and falls one yard short.

Secondly, while it's going to be tough to get 208, it's definitely not impossible. This is AP we're talking about. He's had pretty good success against the Pack at home during his career ...

2007 -- 12 carries for 112 yards (9.3 ypa)
2008 -- 30 carries for 192 yards (6.4)
2009 -- 25 carries for 55 yards (2.2)
2010 -- 14 carries for 72 yards (5.1)
2011 -- 24 carries for 175 yards (7.3)

Totals -- 105 carries for 606 yards (5.8 ypa), 121.2 yards per game.

It is interesting, however, that three of his four career 200-yard games have been on the road.

Finally, I think yesterday's 86-yard effort actually solidifies Adrian's case for MVP. Houston paid so much attention to AP that they allowed Christian Ponder of all people to beat them.

Probably depends on the extent of his injury. I think the Texans were smart by keeping a safety back rather than in the box. While AD had some nice gains, it made it tougher for him to break a long one to the house, which he'll need if he's to break the record.

I don't think safeties were much of an issue in the end result. Peterson only reached the second level of defenders a handful of times the entire game. The majority of the time he was stopped in the backfield. One thing the Texans were NOT doing was missing many tackles on Peterson in the backfield.
