Which is why keeping Teddy healthy is priority #1. And as awful as the OL was tonight, I'm concerned that their great performance Sunday was a total fluke based on Atlanta having a poor front 7 and Bridgewater being so good that he helps them out.

We'll see what happens if Teddy Icewater gets this sort of heat...the concern with him was that at his size he wouldn't stay healthy. The ankle is already a piece of evidence to that end.

We've certainly got to do better stopping the run or we WONT beat Detroit. Obviously with our poor offensive line play going against their dominant defensive line we'll have to scheme to get rid of the ball quick. I'm not sure we'll have as much luck spreading Detroit out as we did against Atlanta.

I don't think we brought a very good gameplan into this one. I think part of that is a lack of faith in ponder to make good quick reads that would be required against the blitz if we spread out the offense again, and our line isn't good enough to do much without the spread run game. I was hoping that by applying horizontal pressure on the defense with sweeps and the threat of sweeps we could effectively dominate the game on the ground. Once we fell behind 14-0, 21-0, 28-0 that was out of the window anyway.

I would confirm that the offensive line wasn't that good against Atlanta.

This was the worst loss since the 2009 NFCCG

What 3rd string QB has a future anywhere??!!! Why not hold onto one that has starting experience in the NFL. Not many do.

Ponder's starting experience has been good for exactly one thing - our experience with him tells us he stinks and is not going to be able to fix his fundamental issues.

Brad Johnson would be an example of a 3rd string QB who went on to have a future.

Watching Ponder's press conference. Holy cow--that shirt he's wearing, I have that exact shirt. It's a Merona shirt from Target; I got it there last week, wore it to work yesterday. How bizarre.

Now I'm worried that the next time I wear it to work, my coworkers are going to egg me or something.

i'll sum this up for all of you. WE AREN"T THAT GOOD. PERIOD. we have a long way to go and we only have one hope at this point--teddy. our defense has played 3 really good qb's the last 3 weeks, but look at how many points we have allowed? the chief's shut down brady and yet look at what he did to us. our defense isn't really good at all, and our run game???? this is my favorite part. the only reason we ran like we did last week was because bridgewater was throwing all over the field and it opened up the run. wake up people.
