Only got to see the second half. Apparently I missed absolutely nothing.
Good win. Really liked the tempo in the second half, both on offense and defense.
Reasons for Optimism
- Defense adjusted nicely -- They looked like an elite defense after halftime. Very fast.
- Shaun Hill did a nice job of taking care of the ball, and made some nice throws in the second half. Tip of the hat.
- Turnovers -- The Vikings placed an emphasis on creating more turnovers, and Week 1 proved to be a rousing success. A +3 turnover margin and 2 defensive TDs, with no turnovers surrendered.
- Danielle Hunter is a star in the making.
- Stefon Diggs is for real.
- Rush defense surrendered only 65 yards. Guess the Titans weren't all that. Or we were.
- Great protection for Hill. Zero sacks allowed, and a clean pocket all second half.
- CP is still a huge weapon in the return game -- his 61-yard return to open the second half gave the team a shot in the arm -- and showed signs of life on offense.
Reasons to Worry
- Blair Walsh WTF? At least he made everything in the 2nd half. Oh wait. The extra point. Ugh.
- Rushing offense -- wow, that was inept. On one hand, it makes no sense to play AP during the preseason. On the other hand, that's two years in a row that he's looked lost in the opener.
- Defense had trouble getting off the field in the first half.
- Red zone offense -- wretched. Just wretched.
O-line, ZERO sacks. Rush blocking needs work but zero sacks with Shaun Hill, cmon!
Shaun Hill. Doesn't look pretty but got it done.
Diggs. Young man cannot be covered.
All true. The pass protection has been much better so far this yeat BUT, it was the Titans. Greenbay will be a much better test. I'm guessing whoever is QB will face a lot more pressure next week.

Riighht, the refs totally didn't give the Jaguars several #### calls..
It is hard for Packer fans to be unbiased about the refs when Rodgers and McCarthy complain after EVERY play. My dad is a Pack fan and he falls for it, too.

Right, not like any of you just look for and rationalize any call you possibly can as being biased in favor of the Packers.
Personally after several big name incidents of ta bad call screwing the Packers, im quite skeptical, every team has fans that #### about the refs 24/7 no matter what happens.

Remind me again if there actually was a facemask penalty on Rodgers against the Lions on the second to last play? Or did Rodgers openly admit after he was just selling it and hoping the refs would throw the flag?

Honestly, not worth your time. Not a discussion that's going to take place in good faith.

The finger hit the inside of the facemask, you want the picture?
Remind me again of how the accidentally blown whistle that wiped out what would have been the game winning drive in thanksgiving wasnt infinitely worse? Or the illegal pick play that gave the Cardinals a 7 point lead in the playyoff? (Both of which the NFL admmited were the wrong calls, unlike the facemask penalty they stood by)
You don't really have to, I don't expect you too, but you should understand my point.
