Not to mention the one other thing that counts. Last year the defense was 32 in giving up points. So far today, 1st. This is not last years defense.

The o-line, playing against the Nfl's top three d-line did fine. The 2 sacks were screw ups by Sullivan/Cassel.
Locke did great punting the ball and Spielman has done a GREAT job assembling the pieces for this team whether you believe it or not.

Kudos out to the Vike's Special Teamers. Locke and Walsh both did great. The Coverage on punts was outstanding and the tackling was terrific.

Yeah, it kinda looks like the Vikes might not end up with the biggest blowout (or even road blowout) of Week 1.

Cassel playing smart
Peterson having a pretty ho-hum day so far.
Cordarrelle Patterson is a freakin' stud (1 crazy rushing TD)
Special Teams playing very well.

Looks like someone with a clue is coaching the Vikings.
Thank you! :v):

Were the Vikings playing the second string DB's at the end of the game? I was watching online with not a very good feed and could not see thing was well as I would have liked.

Yeah, Jabari Price got quite a bit of playing time at the end there. Robinson and Floyd both got hurt so by the end we were playing almost entirely backups.

What a game!

+ Patterson is unreal
+ The D-Line was phenominal. Floyd looked really good out there. Joseph was dominant. Griffen is an absolute stud and should have been starting last year. There was rarely a clean pocket and they couldn't do much on the ground all game.
+ Barr looked like he belonged out there. Hodges looked good as well. Nothing amazing, but it's nice to see some young players at our weakest position group going in to the season stepping up
+ Two picks! Great to see Smith back to his old self and it's really nice to see Robinson actually doing something positive.
+ No garbage TDs given up at the end, even after we were putting backups in.
+ Punt coverage was pretty solid.
+ We didn't come in the second half and get completely outcoached and outplayed
+ Very few missed tackles
+ Our defense was actually fun to watch
+ We ran a screen!

- Some dumb penalties, especially early on
- Kalil had two false starts, Sully had two bad snaps. Not sure if it was the crowd noise or what. Good thing we shut them up.
- That one guy is right, Greenway just isn't very good
- Nitpicking here because I can't think of many negatives, but Peterson needs to take the ball up the field after he shakes the first tackle. There were a few runs that should have 6-7, but he tried to take outside of the next defender he encountered and ended up with 2-3.
