The defense is playing a lot of two deep coverage to take away Jackson and Williams and that's having an impact on the run defense. I have to give the Bucs credit: they're really sustaining their blocks in the running game.PurpleMustReign wrote:I think Arizona did what we were all afraid would happen eventually: They exposed the defense and the offense. I believe we may have hit the wall on our season. Unless Ponder can figure out how to be a real QB fast, we may have gone about as far as we could.
Those days are over and have been. Id trade half our offense for Cutler.Purplemania wrote:Haha true. But he also knows Cutler can suck as bad as Ponder sometimes...
I hate Cutler but the past couple of years he has been a product of that crap system they had in Chicago. Tice has actually stabilized that offense and made them into the threat they've always sold themselves to be.Purplemania wrote:Haha true. Depending on coverages your chances of a turnover on an intermediate throw against prevent coverage is less than a bomb. A couple of 12-yard strikes to the sidelines plus a timeout (or two, I can't remember how many they had left) and you only need about 20-30 yards and you're in realistic Walsh range. I'd venture to say most teams would do exactly that with the time and timeouts the Vikings had left rather than heave it up on first or second down with 30 seconds left.Boon wrote:
I know but you waste time and risk a turnover in your OWN territory vs taking a shot into tampa territory and possibly getting a catch or a PI call. He had enough time there,, use that 6'6 tight end for #### sake, or simpson.
For sure.Purplemania wrote:

RG3 would look so good in purple. With him, we're contenders this year...
If we ran the option... which wouldn't be that bad with Harvin/AD. Heck we could even trade for Tim Tebow and run the ultimate option offense then win the superbowl in dominate fashion.purplehaze wrote: For sure.

I'm not sure we're at that point yet, but it's my biggest fear.PurpleMustReign wrote:I think Arizona did what we were all afraid would happen eventually: They exposed the defense and the offense. The defense can't stop the run and the offense can't throw anything other than a bubble screen.

I want whatever it is you're smoking. It must take you to a special place.FailedtoOpen wrote:If we ran the option... which wouldn't be that bad with Harvin/AD. Heck we could even trade for Tim Tebow and run the ultimate option offense then win the superbowl in dominate fashion.
Just like our Oline having issues, it's hard to do anything on offense when there is ZERO threat from your quarterback.PurpleKoolaid wrote:What really sucks is their RB is better then ours tonight.
