Yes I posted this above. He would be good safety depth. He knows the system. Isn't the best in coverage but is a big hitter that Zimmer used as a LB at times.

Yep he's the only other UFA that I definitely want them to re-sign.

MAYBE Felton if AD is back and maybe Loeffler

I really hope they can upgrade from Brinkley

Possibly the most shocking news so far

Vikings have reached a one-year deal with long snapper Cullen Loeffler, according to a league source

Fine with me. Everyone got on him for one bad snap. Granted it basically cost us the game but he's not a bad long snapper

Yeah, no issues. He'll leave/retire eventually, but he's been a common face for a long time now.

PFF says Loeffler has lost .2375mph off of his snaps and a great deal of his spin on the ball, all due to metacarpal fatigue which is always the second thing to go for long snappers.
This was probably a bad signing.

The upper dorsimous muscle......it's the one the generates the most hike. It's right there in PFFs snap index fact sheet.

Maybe, but I don't know any other Long Snappers who would be much of an upgrade to be honest with you.

Seriously,
I'm sure he's the only long snapper I can name ever.
I have a vague memory of the guy before him in Minny......Jerod Allen did some if I remember right.

Maybe they could bring back Jarred Allen as a long snapper

According to Ron Burgundy it is. It's connected to the uvulus muscle. A scientific fact! ;)

I imagine Loeffler will have to beat out whomever else they bring in as long snapping competition in training camp. Probably a fair chance that he gets cut.

@christomasson: Vikings still have made no offer of any kind to impending free-agent linebacker Jasper Brinkley.
