They may as well release Flores, I haven't seen him retire a batter.
The ChiSox are scaring me right now... sweeping Boston, and they are rallying in most of their wins. I hope they cool off soon, and the Twins stay hot. I mean seriously, why can't Chicago go back to sucking?

Will someone please shoot Scott Ullger so he can't coach 3rd base? The ball was SHALLOW CF, and he sends Span home ona tag. I think my grandma would have thrown him out.

The few times Span does get on base, he manages to screw up. Gets picked off, ect, I really dont like him this season, definately needs to go down for a bit.
Capps looked good last night, however, Im not familiar with the 3 batters he faced, maybe it was 3 Puntos..........
I hope Valencia can get back pretty soon, with our pitching and bull pen, these one run games will catch up with us, we need some more offense, especially the way Chicago is playing. That series coming up with them will be big, hope we still have a decent lead when we face them.

twins have the best record in all of the AL since the all star break. even better than the yanks. despite their occasional mistakes they are a very dangerous team.

I know Morneau is a stud, but I tell you what, Cuddeyer has done one hell of a job filling in at 1st base. He has made a couple plays on poorly thrown balls that Im not sure Justin would make. Now obviously he doesnt hit as well as Justin, but I think Cuddy is one of the teams MVPlayers, for sure in the field.
Fun game to watch last night, glad to see the Sox lose! Hoping for sweep #2 in a row!

I think Justin would have made those plays, he is almost as good as Hrbek was over there, IMO. I also like Cuddy in the OF better, because of his arm. I would rather see him play CF and move Span to RF though.

Yea, he might have. I agree Michael is a stud in the outfield, but he is a great player to have when injuries occur, not only does he play anywhere, he can play anywhere very well.
As far as Span goes, if we werent riddled with injuries, Id be fine with him sitting for a while, pretty poor play this season IMO. And the longer this goes with Justin, Im thinking he might be done for the season, at least. Which totally stinks.

It worries me about him too. It should have gotten better by now. I have to think if it isn't better now, maybe it won't get better? I don't know any concussion specialists, but I just don't ever remember anyone being out for this long. More concerning to me would be the long term effects. Like he is ok today, for example, but what about 20 years from now?

I'm thinking it might be smart for him to just call it a career right now. Some of the concussion research over the last year is downright scary.

If he did, I wouldn't be mad at him. I wonder if that will happen?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Its not like they were smacking the ball all over the field on him, but I guess if we have a bullpen and a closer, Guardy must think its manditory to use them in every single game, no matter how the starter is pitching. Complete idiot. And Butera was our best option at DH? Yikes, hope Thome gets better. Duensing pitched great. Now if Guardy can get out of the teams way..........5.5 games!!!

And, he will have TWO EXTRA days off before his next start!!! The more I think about it the more upset I get, and I just thank God that we have enough talent to win despite his stupidity... Like the Vikings, but we all know how that ended last season.

And the Tigers win again today, making the number 13 I believe. Unless we fall apart, we should get in, we'll go as far as our pitching and Guardys decision making allows us in the playoffs, unfortunately.

So then we lay flat against a lousy Cleveland team. Maybe they took a page from the Vikes playbook from last night?
