Re: Vikings at Saints Game Thread - Week Three
Very disappointing game , little improvement over last week, less turnovers but zero offensive threats besides cp. Rudolph and Kalil are overrated

I just don't see us losing every single game the rest of the season.VikingLord wrote: You think that can't happen?

You know if that was someone like Dez Bryant or Suh that would be an instant penalty. Not brees though. He would never get penalized for being unsportsmanlike.VikingPaul73 wrote: He pushed Blanton and yelled at him. They he got in Captain's face and yelled at him for an extended period.
Any player on the field today and that's a flag, maybe even get kicked out of the game......except for the chosen one.
A can maybe understand you defending the original call based on a technicality. But I have no idea how you can possibly defend the no call on that whining hypocrite Brees.
I'd love to see him push Blanton and yell at Captain that way in a dark alley......without the paid hacks called NFL refs who just want to protect the chosen people

At least the Peckers lost too.

I thought our defense played well at times. Couple breakdowns hurt us.

Not defending the no call on Brees at all - just giving my opinion on why they didn't call it.VikingPaul73 wrote: He pushed Blanton and yelled at him. They he got in Captain's face and yelled at him for an extended period.

Teddy was the bright spot... he did a very nice job.
Rudolph dropping passes and getting hurt again... starting to lose faith in the big guy. It's always something with him.
Jennings dropping key passes.
Asiata, McKinnon and company are not exactly filling any big shoes.
Kalil... hopeless.
As a whole, the offense is not gonna scare anyone.

Not only would it have been a penalty on Bryant or Suh, but the idiot hypocrites in the NFL media would all be rushing to be the first to condemn the "thugish" behavior. NFL is a joke.Crax wrote: You know if that was someone like Dez Bryant or Suh that would be an instant penalty. Not brees though. He would never get penalized for being unsportsmanlike.

Looks like Bortles isn't doing so hot.
Re: Vikings at Saints Game Thread - Week Three
Well the way that game started it is actually really cool that our defense stopped both their home scoring and home passing yard streaks.
And Teddy looked good. Hopefully he did enough to snag the starting job from Cassel and give us something to be excited about this year.

It's pretty unlikely.frosted21 wrote:I just don't see us losing every single game the rest of the season.
On the other hand, injuries are piling up and the offense is struggling big time, so they need to find some answers. I think they'll find enough to win some more games.
I didn't see much of today's game but from what I saw (and mostly heard), Norv was way too conservative and I'm talking "Brad Childress" conservative. You have to take shots at the end zone to score TDs.
16 points in two weeks... and the Saints didn't exactly bring an elite defense to the table. A few more games like these last two and we might be longing for Musgrave.

Without the keystone in place the bridge can't stay standing. The offense is constructed around AD and running. Without him, they're going to have a lot of games where they are lucky to score 10 points like this one, and without a defense that can consistently stop opponents (and the Vikes don't have one of those, either), they're going to need a lot of good bounces to win games this year. This team doesn't strike me as lucky.frosted21 wrote: I just don't see us losing every single game the rest of the season.

Teddy did well; considering he probably was not a major part of the game-planning, has no running game to keep the defense honest, the WR's can't get free or catch, and Kalil is better at tackling than he is at blocking.
We need new ownership and a new front office to change the culture of the franchise.
