I agree. Wasnt it just maybe 3-4 years ago, there was some stir in Cinci about him continually rubbing players the wrong way? He is an in your face type of guy. Some of these superstar or rookie players might not like that. I was thinking this exact same thing when looking at the playoff picture last night. However, the Redskins are "hot" right now also. They did what they've needed to do for some time: upgrade the talent on the defense. They needed to improve the interior of the line, get more speed and athleticism at LB, and improve the quality of their DBs and DB performance. The focus since Zimmer arrived has been on upgrading defensive personnel and it's paying off.
Now he needs to fix the passing game, which doesn't lie within his area of expertise. I hope he, Spielman and Turner are up to the task.
