Agreed. He will bounce back if given the chance.

Why? This is no longer a tank. Might as well work out a few no names and see if one sticks. Maybe the chick from vanderbilt, i hear she can kick extra points

I really wish Vikings did not give up on Carlson too early, I am glad Carlson is doing well for the Raidres but Zimmer is an idiot for cutting Carlson for just 1 bad game in his first start

Yes. We as fans all wanted him gone but a coach needs to be able to make decisions on the future, not one bad showing.

Zim is always too reactionary.

Obviously a disappointing loss. The refs and Bailey were bad. But I think there’s some reason for optimism.

I thought the O-line played pretty well. Keep in mind this defense hasn’t given up a 100 yard rusher. I also thought Cousins had a fair amount of time, many of those Conklin completions were his 3rd or 4th progression. It did break down at times, especially at the end but O’Neill was out by then. JPP didn’t do a ton until that happened. I’m not saying the line is good but I’m seeing progress.

Godwin had a very quiet game and I’m wondering if this was due to Dantzler. If it was Dantzler, then he’s shut down two pretty good receivers the last two weeks (Chark being the other). Like the o-line I’m not saying he’s amazing but there could be progress there.

Hopefully Hunter can come back next year and Pierce is as good as some think he’ll be. With them and Kendricks back (possibly Barr) there’s upside.

Also as I mentioned in the game chat, I thought Cousins overall played well. It was good to see Irv, Conklin and Ham involved when they started keying on Thielen and JJ. I still think he needs work on his pocket presence, true he made some plays with his legs, but his turnovers are still costly. He’s fumbled in 3 of the last 4 games and the only game he didn’t, he had a bad pick 6. That said, I thought this defense would be a good litmus test for Cousins and he did better than I expected.

It may be weird but I’m more optimistic about the future now than after the Jacksonville win. Sometimes it isn’t about the win or loss, but how you play. The team for the most part showed a lot of fight today.

I do not consider the offensive line playing well if the offensive line gave up 6 sacks

Half of those were on the last drive after O’Neill was out. Like I said, they didn’t play great but I saw progress.

The game will be under the lights so to speak, joe buck and aikman on the call so I suppose a 3:35 start. All meaning that the game will still be going on right before the night games festivities start. All eyes on Kirk and company, good luck

My bad I presume with those two it would be the game of the week and be late

6 sacks sums up how they played. That's pathetic pass protection. Cousins looked a little wore out after the game also. When he had time he did good.

I didn’t watch game but saw stats and score.

For those who watched, how did it happen? 27 1st downs to 17 and double the time of possession!!! And only 1 TO.

I get that Bailey was a total disaster but sheesh how did they manage to lose this by double digits ?
