Well...ask a 'stupid question' as they say...Mothman wrote: Yes, quite a few times, in fact. He only had 31 rushing yards in the week one loss to SF.
In his rookie year, those darn 49ers held him to his lowest total ever in the NFL: 3 yards on 14 carries! It was an incredible defensive performance.
The Packers won't hold him under 38 though.

I knew he had a bad game, but I thought he got a shade under 60 yards or so.

He had 3 catches for 21 yards too so he was at 52 yards for the night. That might be why you had that impression.
I understand. It left me with a "hangover" I'm just now shaking. I think it's a big part of why I'm in "prove it every week" mode with this year's Vikings.Just Me wrote:Yeah... I'm just pretending that game never happened, anyway.

I'm sure!DK Sweets wrote:We've noticed
Ah, if only I could bury it in my memories so easily....I would say that was a tough game to forget, but I don't know which game you're all referring to!
Let's just call it our "6th pre-season" game for those who can't forget.Mothman wrote: I'm sure!

Yeah, but you never know. He got HOT right around this time last year, I imagine as teams start to sustain injuries and guys are playing banged up it gets harder and harder to bring 110% against AD for 25-30 carries a game without getting worn down. Twice now we've seen a game clinching rushing TD in the 4th quarter so maybe there's something to it after all.akvikingsfan wrote:Now at 1164 yards on the season, needs to average 167.2 yards per game over the next 7 games. The past 3 games he has averaged 135 yards per game. Still possible, but I think the 45 yard performance last week put it just a little out of reach.
Ifbthey don't completely revamp the OL this offseason, i will be very disappointed.jackal wrote:If we get out OL fixed next season I could see Peterson breaking 2000 three times in his career... the guy had almost hundred yards after contact last week.
If he actually had holes to run through. my goodness..
