I'm there with you though on Blanton. I always liked him because as you mentioned, he always seems to be near the ball. I wouldn't call him severely underrated, but underrated, no less. It seems like there's always plays that are so close to extending the drive, but they just aren't getting it done. That lack of execution is the kind of thing that haunts teams.

That's why I was not comfortable with the extension. Normally in the preseason, I am all for going for it on 4th down when you are close, but I think we need to get him some kicks.
