I'm there with you though on Blanton. I always liked him because as you mentioned, he always seems to be near the ball. I wouldn't call him severely underrated, but underrated, no less. I'd say under appreciated is more apt though.

It was actually a pretty bad throw... a better throw would have been a TD easy.

It seems like there's always plays that are so close to extending the drive, but they just aren't getting it done. That lack of execution is the kind of thing that haunts teams.
Indeed. This is obviously the time of year to work those kinks out but it would still be nice to see the starters finish a drive or two!

Thanks for all the responses to my question.

Hows Zimmer suppposed to have any faith in Walsh anymore? I hope they bring in a kicker, not only to push Walsh, but the time may come when we need one.
Too late for that. They won't waste a spot on the final 53 for another kicker. Especially after just extending Blair. It's ride or die now.

That's why I was not comfortable with the extension. Normally in the preseason, I am all for going for it on 4th down when you are close, but I think we need to get him some kicks. Pretty scary, really.

That was interesting. It almost looked like that was a play by design.

Teddy wasn't even looking that way... it was a great throw across his body and to a place he wasn't even really looking for much.
