you nailed it with Harvin.Raptorman wrote: I sat Vikings east. Buffalo.
He done got Winfielded.Pseudo Everything wrote:Jennings was released as "failed physical" so it's not a post June 1st designated cut. According to Darren Wolfson, Jennings was willing to take a significant pay cut but apparently not the amount the Vikings wanted. Jennings built a house in the Twin Cities last year and he and his family reportedly loved it here and could likely make this their full time home (post nfl). Woflson speculated that the cut the Vikings were insisting on must have been very steep for Jennings to decline. I trust Wolfson's reporting. He is dialed-in with good sources and it would be very uncommon for him to get something like this wrong.
Also ... the 5th round pick we game to Miami is our 5th rounder; not the one we acquired from Buffalo in the Matt Cassel trade. Good news.

USA Today sports was saying maybe packers would pick Jennings back up.The Breeze wrote:Looking for Philly or the Jets to snag Jennings~
Of course. That would make the Packers games all the more exciting too.halfgiz wrote: USA Today sports was saying maybe packers would pick Jennings back up.
I understand and don't mind them cutting him. This "failed physical" sounds kinda shady though. I hope this doesn't turn into some embarrassing story that garners bad press.Pseudo Everything wrote:Jennings was released as "failed physical" so it's not a post June 1st designated cut. Everything's relative.Angels Wings wrote: 31 is long in the tooth?!!!guess that makes me a geezer @35.
Anyway, not surprised that we cut Jennings after we traded for Wallace but, I think that he would have been great to have on our WR corps. He'll definitely be on someone's roster...

The difference is that the 5th round pick the Vikings received in the Cassel trade is the first pick in the 5th round and the pick the Vikes traded to the Dolphins is the 15th pick in the 5th round. That's all.Puddin'Taine wrote:OK, with this ^. I've been meaning to ask. I saw a couple other posts bring this up.
What is the difference between the two 5th rd picks we have? How come whether it would be the 5th we already had or the 5th we were given be a thing?
Really curious.
