Or they could improve on last year and finish 11-5 or better! Remember we were beating solid teams, even play off teams with no Harvin to be seen. I think it's doable with another solid draft and a bit of improvement from Ponder, that'll be pretty key.

Of course the Caveat to that is that, AP played, for all intents and purposes, the greatest season by a RB ever. While I have enough confidence in Ponder to expect him to play better this year, to expect him to pick up all the slack if AP doesn't repeat is a tall order. I think we will know by the Game against the Steelers, if we win that one. I think we are going to the playoffs.

I predict they go 4-2 in the Division and 6-2 over the rest of the schedule for an optimistic 12-4.

I think 5-1 in the Division is very hard to achieve as is a sweep. We also open with 2 road division games. I think they’ll split that stretch, but their going 0-2 shouldn’t be shocking in that stretch. NFC North is still the toughest Division in NFL IMO.

The non-division stuff isn’t very nice either. The London game sucks, to be honest, but I think Pittsburgh is in decline so we could win that thing. I think the Ravens are rebuilding whether they want to admit it or not. Bengals are a tough call, but they seemed “not quite ready for prime time” last year so I gave us the W. The Redskins game is interesting. If RG3 is still hurt or not at 100%, then I think we win that game handily. If he is playing, then that is a tough game. Seattle game on paper is probably a loss, but I’m not sure. Wilson will likely have a sophomore slump and we’ll be hitting him week 10 in Seattle. Is he mid slump or is he coming out of it? I thought we should have won that game there last year. Panthers I think is winnable. Cowboys seem beatable to me, we’ve had their number the last few times we’ve played. Giants is a tough call, they are very Jekyl/Hide so do we get good or bad Eli? I predict we’ll get a tough game as they had their bad year last season, but hard to tell there. They tend to have runs during the season so if we hit them during a slump we could sneak out a W. I think this game is most likely a loss though. Browns are a win. Still nothing doing in Cleveland. I think the Eagles are quite beatable as well, they seem to be a in rebuilding scenario post Andy Reid.

Of course, it is the NFL and anything can happen. I’d say 10-6 to 12-4 is a reasonable expectation. You have to think they’ll over achieve in a game or two and under achieve in a few.
