Looks like John paid the Refs more then Jim.
I hate Ray (the knife) Lewis. More then Vick. So ofc he ends his carrer with a ring. There really is no justice or karama or whatever you wanna call it in this lifetime.

Ray Lewis is such a drama queen

Re: Super Bowl Thread
Hold could have gone either way, defender clearly had a hold of the jersey but the receiver was also pushing down on his head. Oh well, it is what it is. At least it turned into a game.
Re: Super Bowl Thread
Ed Reed, best ever to play at his position, gets a well-deserved Super Bowl ring. And I am really happy Birk has one, too!

Re: Super Bowl Thread
Great game... tons of credit to both teams and coaches. Flacco and Kaepernick both played great games. Boldin was on fire, and Crabtree was pretty amazing, too.
I think it was holding on Crabtree on that 4th down play in the 4th quarter... I realize you have to "let them play", but that was definitely cheating and critical to the result. Sending a sell-out blitz and telling your CB to hold the #1 receiver to prevent him from reaching the edge of the end zone... hmmm... you gotta make the call on that.

Re: Super Bowl Thread
Tainted super bowl win with that non call. Refs love getting involved but not in the most important game or at the most crucial time.

Good non-call.S197 wrote:Hold could have gone either way, defender clearly had a hold of the jersey but the receiver was also pushing down on his head. Oh well, it is what it is. At least it turned into a game.
But man, the whining and pleading for a penalty on EVERY single play has gone beyond the point of just being annoying. It's not only pass plays any more, and it's not just the players. The coaches and even the trainers on the sidelines were ranting, waiving their arms, and pointing at somebody on the other team on every play.
How many of those demonstrations do you think ever result in a flag being thrown, 5 to 10 seconds after a play has been completed?? The NFL needs to implement a rule similar to the flopping rule, that if a player or anyone on a team's sideline appeals for a penalty, then THAT should be penalty. It's gotten bad enough that it's ruining the game.

Congrats to Matt Birk!soflavike wrote: VERY happy for Matt Birk... can't say the same for McKinney.
Re: Super Bowl Thread
I personally think the WR would not have pushed off had the DB not grabbed the jersey. But it was close so the non-call is just fine by me.S197 wrote:Hold could have gone either way, defender clearly had a hold of the jersey but the receiver was also pushing down on his head. Are you serious? watch it again. The DB grabbed him, didnt let go at all until the ball was over Crabtrees head. Crabtree ONLY pushed back AFTER he was being held for so long. That was the TD that would have sent the Ravens packing.S197 wrote:Hold could have gone either way, defender clearly had a hold of the jersey but the receiver was also pushing down on his head. Why No Moss? Hes still far better then anything we have (unless Harvin does come back). I love Moss. Very exciting player. Excellent at what he did, and he hated the Packers.hibbingviking wrote:Just glad no more moss and ray lewis next year.
