To the Jim Brown doubters, you only can compare players with how they dominated in the era they played in. Im not going to say Brown would have been better in todays era with modern training, medicine, rules (hash marks have been changed), ect. Its not fair, so you look at what they did when they played. 3 players in NFL history dominated like no others at their position. Jim Brown, Don Hutson, and Otto Graham.
AP has lead the league in rushing 2x counting this season. Jim Brown lead it every season except 1.
In 72 the nfl changed the hash marks. It opened up the running lanes and you had the 72 dolphins with dual 1000 yard rushers and in 73 you had an nfl record of over 3,000 rushing yards by one team (Bills) in 14 games. But before that? Only 1 player rushed for 1500 yards in a season. Jim Brown. After brown retired until 73, no player rushed for even 1300 yards in a season.
Jim Brown has no peer, ask Barry Sanders dad, he'll even tell you.
Its unfair to AP to compare other players full careers to his when he isnt finished yet.
