Sammy Davis, Jr singing the theme to 'Baretta'.
It's about time,
It's about space,
About strange people in the strangest place.
It's about time,
It's about flight,
Travelin' faster than the speed of light.

OK, I cheated-- 'It's about Time' had a run of 26 episodes the year I was born, so I was too young to see it and I suspect the show was not heavily syndicated.
Here's a new one:
What would you do if I sang out of tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
I will try not to sing out of key.
And a bonus Audio Daily double-- can you name this theme's show?

The Wonder Years (IIRC they used Joe Cocker's version)
and for the Audio Daily Double...
Lost in Space.
Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight,
Gee, our old La Salle ran great,
Those were the days.

Mickey Mouse Club.
The beginnings of the Fascist Disney Corporation.
This one was the first season theme only:
"C'mon now and meet everybody
And hear us singin'.
There's nothin' better than bein' together
When we're singin'."

Partridge Family!
This is probably too obscure, but someone may get it-- it's tied to the recently mentioned 'Fascist corperation beginnings'. My kids loved this (it's out on DVD)
So now the gold and Pieces of Eight,
all belong to Applegate,
the chest is here,
but, wait,
now where are those Gold Doubloons
and Pieces of Eight, Pieces of Eight, Pieces of Eight?
And just because a lot of my favorite theme songs are instrumental:

Isn't that from the Mickey Mouse Club Hardy Boys? I remember seeing it in reruns and one of the Hardy Boys played the oldest son on My Three Sons for a while. Your Audio Daily Double is sooooo familiar, but can't get it.
How about this one?
XXXX don't be discouraged,
The Man he ain't so hard to understand.
XXXX, if you try now,
I know that you can lend a helping hand.
Because there's good in everyone
And a new day has begun
You can see the morning sun if you try.

The Love Boat!
How about this preamble:
"There are those that believe that life here began out there, far across the universe with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians or the Toltecs or the Mayans. They may have been the architects of the great pyramids, or the lost civilizations of Lemuria or Atlantis."

Oooh! A Double Daily Double!
Doogie Howser MD and Night Court
Streaks on the china
Never mattered before, who cared?
When you drop kicked your jacket
As you came through the door, no one glared.
According to our new arrival
Life is more than mere survival.
And we just might live the good life yet.

Wow, this was either a stumper or everyone wearied of the thread. Either way it's been nearly 3 weeks, so I googled it and found it to be Mr Belvedere. I think I only watched 1 or 2 episodes of that as a kid.
How about:
I bet we've been together for a million years
And I bet we'll be together for a million more
Oh it's like I started breathing on the night we kissed
And I can't remember what I ever did before?
I watched this quite a bit as a kid, but I must admit I'd totally forgotten the theme-- got the words off youtube. Wonder if anyone will remember the show.

Family Ties
As I recall, the show started out with a slightly different theme, maybe just slower music, and the characters where not as defined by their roles as in the other seasons. Perhaps I am just recalling the pilot episode.
It was a good show until it got too trendy. We found out whom the real draw of the show was after it was cancelled, as only one actor went on to do bigger and better things in the future and past.
Here is one that I don't believe would be politically correct today in many ways:
Two little Indians, no others near.
Colonel he vows these two soon disappear.
Fighting the army with soldiers galore.
What can two Indians do?
