That was what he apparently told Chris Tomasson. FWIW, he also apparently told Tomasson AD hasn't asked for a trade. Called all the stuff about him going to the Cowboys just rumors.

Here's the full article:
Adrian Peterson’s father said Thursday “nothing was resolved” in a meeting Monday with Vikings owners and the running back will have another discussion with team officials about his future by the end of the week.

“They will meet again,” Nelson Peterson told the Pioneer Press. “I’m not going to say who’s going to be at the meeting. I can’t comment on that.”

When asked when it would take place, Nelson Peterson only would say by the end of the week.

Peterson’s father said he hasn’t asked for a trade and that all the talk he could end up with Dallas is just rumors.

Peterson missed 15 games last season because of a child-abuse incident. He is disgruntled because he does not believe some in the organization did enough last year to get him back on the field. There remains a possibility he could be traded.

Peterson already has met with general manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer last week in Houston and last Monday with owners Zygi and Mark Wilf and Spielman in New York.

“Just stuff coming up from the Vikings and that’s about it, so nothing was resolved,” Nelson Peterson said of the Monday meeting. “Everything remains the same. He still has options with returning, so the door hasn’t been closed.”

A message has been sent to the Vikings to ask if another meeting has been scheduled with Peterson.

Peterson remains under contract through 2017. His deal for next season calls for $12.75 million but none of it is guaranteed.

Peterson is on the commissioner”s exempt list after a federal judge two weeks ago vacated his NFL suspension, although the league has filed an appeal. Tuesday’s first day of the new league year was the first day he could be traded.

Rumors have been swirling that Peterson could end up with the Cowboys because there are reports Dallas star free-agent running back DeMarco Murray soon could sign with Philadelphia. ESPN reported last year Peterson had a phone conversation with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about one day wanting to play for the team.

It looks promising to me, but again...How true?

I would say that since it's coming from his Dad, it gives me more optimism, but we don't know his intentions either.

They're not meeting apparently. Maybe his dad doesn't have all the details.

I am starting to get the feeling that AP feels about his dad like a college student feels about his dad,

It's probably just Wobby talking into a paper cup pretending to be Mr Peterson. He's the Vikings Kizer Sose' in all of this. He's related to the Wilfs....I'm certain. It's a conspiracy fueled by high fructose corn syrup and coffee.

Not meeting or it's not scheduled? Petereson's pop didn't say anything about the meeting already having been scheduled just that they'll meet again and it will be by the end of the week.

What do you think the odds are Percy that we land our LB Lavonte David in a trade? Who should we target from Dallas if that trade would materialize ?

If AD does land up in Dallas, after the Cowbows let Murray go, that would really break my heart. I think I would rather see him in Detroit or Chicago then Dallas. I hate the Cowboys. Well unless we got a Walker type deal, but people mentioning a 4th, I doubt thats going to happen.

Man, if the Vikings can get David, I'd deal AP with the quickness. I can't picture it though. Lavonte is way too valuable.

You weren't ask me, but I'll say that I don't think a trade with Dallas would yield any players. They pick low enough in the first round that I'd try to get a 1st and a 3rd.

I really don't see him landing in Dallas unless Jerry is willing to do something stupid -- for the Cowboys. That would be great for the Vikings though, so if he wants...have at it!
