Hey, Slow your roll on Diggs. Despite the awesomeness of his play, he was chosen in the 5th round for a reason. (/sarcasm)

Pretty amazing the Vikings were the only team at his pro day. That's some really excellent scouting.

Vikings Red Zone Efficiency 1/4 - 25%
Loins Red Zone Efficiency 2/3 - 66%

We defiantly need to improve on that.

Thirded. The better the rest of the team looks, the more frustrating it is to see the offensive line allow sack after sack and TFL after TFL.
The Vikings can win 9-10 games a season (I think) playing the way they did today, but if the OL doesn't improve markedly the squad will have major difficulty competing with the better teams in the league.
Sports writers have been predicting the same thing... and we witnessed why today.
Still... 7 sacks. Wow.

It's nice to get a road win. Hopefully, it's the first of quite a few more this season.
It was great to see the Vikes defense really assert itself after such a poor start. Edwards called a great game after those first two drives (or maybe it was Zimmer or a combination of the two). It was also nice to see the offense take advantage of the intense focus on stopping Adrian Peterson with some effective play action passing. Bridgewater had a very good game and Diggs continues to stand out. Kudos to Line too, for one of the more fun offensive plays of the game. He really turned on the afterburners on that long catch and run.
They have some things to clean up, especially their blocking. They have to start finding more solutions to the run blitzes they're facing every week. I've never seen an RB get hit in the backfield as often as Peterson's getting hit this season. he's shown that when he has some room, he can still rip off big gains but he needs that room.
They have to be able to protect Bridgewater better too. Overall, he handled the pressure pretty well today but there was too much of it. They also have to be able to finish more drives with touchdowns.
Overall, they got the win they needed against a divisional opponent on the road. Stafford will be glad he doesn't have to see the Vikes defense for another year.
Now on to Chicago and hopefully, back-to-back wins!

Evidently, he was a Scott Turner find. He was the big backer withing the building, had familiarity with Diggs through a previous coaching gig or something. this is via Ben Goessling via the Sports Over Beer Podcast.

That is kind of amazing, I know hindsight is 20/20, but to have us be the
only ones there is kind of interesting...

Teddy is playing really well through injury. He's a champion.

we could easily be 5-1. i was one of the people on here praising the team after the denver loss; many other's weren't. we played our #### off that game. the question remains, can we beat green bay?

You gotta wonder how other teams missed this diamond in the ruff. According to NFL.com, Diggs was coached in 2014 by former NFL wide receiver Keenan McCardell. No doubt, it helped him. Still, no one can teach someone to layout and catch the ball and hang on like that. That TD catch displays true talent.

Probably not, but hopefully the Vikings can rough the hell out of rodgers and knock him out of the game.

I dunno—if the Vikings' OL can put together a competent game, I think the Purple is capable of beating anyone. If not... then not.

Loved the defensive effort. After the first two drives, Stafford was just trying to survive. Loved the adjustments, and I love how Barr and Kendricks are playing.
Also, the offense really came to play today. Teddy was excellent. AP had the big run but doesn't look like himself. I realize the line didn't open much for him, but he seems tentative and is easily being brought down by one tackler. Still, the offense moved the chains and had some big plays. Jeff Locke didn't punt until the fourth quarter. That's huge.
Anybody still doubting Stefon Diggs? Wow!

I know it's early in the season, but I thought I'd share these stat comparisons through the first 6 games of their rookie season:
Odell Beckham Jr (who played all 6 games)
Catches: 31
Targets: 48
Yards: 463
Touchdowns: 3
Stefon Digs (who only played 3 games)
Catches: 13
Targets: 25
Yards: 324
Touchdowns: 1
I would say that Diggs has the talent of OBJ based on these apple to oranges stats. Now if we look at it apples to apples (first 3 games played) we see that Diggs is actually out performing ODJ in terms of yards, catches, and targets:
OBJ through first 3 games
Catches: 10
Targets: 15
Yards: 106
Touchdowns: 3
I think Diggs will be a great player for the Vikings for years to come.
