My concern with AP isn't his off the field issues. It's what's best for the future of this franchise in my opinion. There isn't a chance I want Marshall on this team. He's a head case and is on the wrong side of his career. Plus we would have to give up something halfway decent for him which I would not want to do either. Along with his salary? No thanks

......and he just got traded to the Jets. Typical move by that franchise

Well, that raises the likelihood of the Bears taking Cooper or White at #7, IMO.

Maybe, but they still have some pretty good receivers and a new defensive minded head coach. Their defense was atrocious last year so I am guessing they will still be looking to draft defense. Weak pass rush. No LBs and they haven't been able to get a decent safety for years even though they have tried.

True enough. If they don't get another top tier WR, Alshon is going to be easier to defend.

Ha. Maybe they are just trying to get Suckler to throw the ball to someone other than Brandon. Lol. They still may draft a receiver, but my guess is further down the draft. Who knows if Suckler will even be there next season. There is a date coming up soon that guarantees him more money in 2016 if he is still on the roster. 10 mill I think is guaranteed beyond next season if he is not cut.

I agree as well. I think we're still in great shape at 11

I for one, am happy to see Marshall and probably Suh traded out of the Vikes division.

More specifically, in great shape to have a shot at Cooper or White, or just a general feeling that 11 is going to be a solid spot to pick? I definitely agree with the latter, but am unsure of the former. If the Bears were to draft a WR at 7 (or if, in general, there is an early run on WR) it would push some great defenders down to us, which I'd be fine with.

I seriously doubt the Vikes are going be able to get Cooper at #11. I think they'll have to trade up to get if he's their man.

OTOH, it's still "early days" when it comes to the draft so who knows how it will all shake out?

Thank goodness we don't have to face Marshall again for at least 3 years. We never had an answer to stop him. Good move for the Jets, now they need Geno to play well or maybe they will make a play for Marcus Mariota.

OTOH, guys, it is happening! Cannot you feel the momentum for Slick Rick to resign Percy Harvin after he gets cut from New York, just to stick it to Seattle?!   I am just kidding!

I don't know, I've seen him slowly drop in the mock drafts and lately I've seen him connected to the Rams at 10. If only one team in the top 10 takes a WR and White is perceived as the top WR by that team then Cooper is ours. Doesn't seem THAT far fetched to me.

I agree! That's why I'm hoping this "White hype" keeps on going. It's just giving us a better shot to land Cooper. I've seen many mocks that have us taking him. The Rams are the only team I'm really worried about after Oakland and the Rams offensive line and defensive backfield are pretty brutal. That could be where Trae Waynes goes. But if the Rams take Cooper, that could give us Waynes. It's a win-win IMO

Free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson is open to signing with the Vikings.
Jackson wants to back up Teddy Bridgewater after spending the last two seasons behind Russell Wilson. With Matt Cassel getting traded to Buffalo and Christian Ponder a free agent, the Vikings are in the market for a No. 2 quarterback. Jackson, 32 next month, spent the first five years of his career in Minnesota.
