Someone tell me how the frick Bowles is a finalist? I mean wow! I hope that's just us not trying to look too eager about Zimmer. Bowles hasn't done squat anywhere ever. He had a good year this year, his first year as DC for Arizona, but oh wait, Arizona already had a pretty good defense. Before this year he was the defensive backs or secondary coach for a number of average to below average pass defenses. He was the Eagles DC last year, his first year as DC anywhere and they gave up 444 points. Oh and he also played DB for a few years once upon a time. Does this nightmare sound familiar? Why didn't we just keep Frazier if we plan to hire his clone? Well maybe he's a nice guy and we can keep our coveted players not quitting during a losing season streak alive.
I was really hoping we'd go in an offensive direction, well because the league has become so offensive oriented, and I'm tired of watching a team stuck in the past, but I'm liking this Zimmer guy the more I hear about him. Getting a fiery guy that players love is the refreshing change of pace we need around here. I just hope we end up with a creative OC then. Someone who actually knows how to get Patterson more involved on offense. Plus I'm not sold on Greg Roman, he's young and has only been an OC for 3 years. The 9ers offense hasn't been that great with him, not bad, but not great. So if it comes down to 2 DC's, then I definitely prefer Zimmer over Bowles.

So you're aware of that fact and yet you've spent the last 2 years defending Ponder like your life depended on it?
