What an at bat by Jason Kubel. I told my mom on the 0-2 pitch that he would either pop out or strike out. Well, he showed me who's boss... Hit of the year for the Twins thus far, IMO.

Last nights game was ugly to watch for me, luckily a win is a win. We made some terrific plays defensively, and some terrible ones too. They out-hit us badly, luckily their errors costed them runs. We looked sloppy and flat, hope tonights game is better. Gonna need some extra beer tonight, Twins and Vikings on TV, sweeeeeet.

More baserunning errors last night. Maybe the real problem here is the 3rd base coach.

Entertaining, up-and-down game.

The smile at Kubel's homer doesn't give it away?

Big win today to get the sweep. Slowey pitched a dang good game and I would've liked to see him stay in to try to get the no-hitter, but I think pulling him after the 7th was probably a good idea because he was starting to get sloppy. He was obviously getting tired; this was the first game he pitched in almost two weeks plus he rarely goes deep into a game anyway. Great performance though.

Quite a few good plays in the field today too. Kubel and Repko both robbed Crisp of an extra-base hit with leaping catches at the warning track, and Casilla made a few good plays at SS.

This upcoming series at home against the White Sox is huge. The Sox are reeling right now, 3 games behind the Twins and lost 7 of their last 10. I think with a series win, the Twinkies will cement their post-season status. Who knows though, even if the ChiSox lose the series they'll probably still make it a race until the very end.

I find it hard to say anything will be cemented in late August
