This about sums it up.
@AjKFAN ZIMMER: “I went to McDonald’s last night on the way home and ordered 2 cheeseburgers but only got one. That’s the kind of week it’s been."
It's only going to get worse as the week goes on, too.

Zimmer on playing Newman at safety: "I knew I would, but I didn't want to tell you guys because you would tell the other team. So I lied, okay? I mean, I'm sorry, but I didn't want to tell the Cardinals that he was going to play safety tonight."

So why did he do it? "We though Waynes was the next best player, so thats how we could get him on the field; by moving Newman to safety. That wasn't a lie"

@christomasson Biggest threat to #Vikings (8-5) somehow not making playoffs Leslie Frazier's Bucs (6-6) Have not too tough schedule, would win a tiebreaker

Yes!
@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer said Adrian Peterson's involvement on passing downs (in on 56 of 68 plays) is something he wants more of down stretch. #Vikings

@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer: Trae Waynes had ups and downs, pointed to 3rd-16 pass deflection on Fitzgerald, then obviously busted coverage on 42-yd TD to Floyd

@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer: "I really want to credit the players for how they attacked the situation. Especially coming after the loss we had before."

OFC he does. Hes good at it. and getting better. Norv is a genius for getting the ball into the hands of one of the best football players in the NFL. How did he think of that???. Next thing you know he might leave AD in on some 3rd downs, Cause AD can block. Imagine that, leaving your best player in to block, run or pass. Cause AD had some nice blocks yesterday. Next thing you know, he might put CP84 is for a few plays.

Im so tired of Norv. After the last play of the game last night, Id rather have Musgrave back. Getting a tad tired of out genius Norv too. I think Zimmer will be a around for a while, even after his contract is up. Being stubborn and slow is not always a good thing, all the time.

A couple of things here. #1 AD is still a below average pass protecting blocker. #2 his hands are still very suspect #3 AD is a great player but over his career his has made some crucial fumbles at key times of games.
How does anyone blame Norv for the failure of last night's last play. It was the right call. Time enough to try and get a closer FG for Mr. Walsh, who's accuracy has fallen off from long distance kicks. The failure was not the call but certainly the poor execution. Too much pressure from poor pass protection, TB holding the ball too long and probably the receivers running their routes. It is what it is. Had the protection been better, the routes run better, then there was a good chance of shortening the distance of the FG attempt and at the very least throw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock.

Has anyone in the media asked Zimmer or Turner why CJ isn't getting any snaps in the passing game?

Amazing stat.
Under the headline: Minnesota Vikings Set Franchise Record For Rookie Starters
http://www.dailynorseman.com/2015/12/13 ... e-starters
The Vikings' rookies that were called on to start in Thursday night's contest were as follows:

-OT T.J. Clemmings
-WR Stefon Diggs
-LB Eric Kendricks
-LB Edmond Robinson
-CB Trae Waynes
-S Anthony Harris

Robinson, Waynes, and Harris were making their first starts in the National Football League.
That was your #2 seed, Arizona. In their house. On a short week. It's looking nice for the next few years, if those guys can continue to play well. That's not to mention Danielle Hunter and Mycole Pruitt, who both made big plays in the game.

I agree. The future looks very bright. Spielman has done an awesome job drafting the last 4 years
