So, in Kluwe's mind, therapy = mind control.
Kind of losing points with me here.
People are entitled to their beliefs. Who is he to tell someone WHAT to think.
Now perhaps acquiring some sensitivity and discernment. That is another thing entirely.

Ok, but if Priefer said what he said in a harsh tone and all of this comes out to be true... dude should probably talk to someone. I don't want Himmler's ghost coaching our ST

Oh so you must know what Chris Kluwe's bank account is then? I guess it's entirely possible for players to blow their NFL paychecks on nonsense. I had no idea I was talking to Kluwe's financial advisor. EXCUSE ME THEN SIR.

Way to label people. What a tolerant fellow you are. What if Kluwe is wrong, he took Priefer completely out of context? Are you going to call him what he is? One of Hitlers thugs? Maybe Stalins?

Explain how someone could take what Priefer supposedly said out of context? Seems pretty cut and dried if you ask me.
Now, did he say it? I don't know. I do know this. Kluwe is way to smart to make this stuff up. Something was said.

How do you know he's way to smart? He already made it personal, and then was told to backtrack once he got a lawyer. Sounds like a dumba$$ move to me. And you and I both know some things are said in a joking matter. Esp. in a locker room, with a football team. Or maybe things have changed a lot since I played football.
You are taking Kluwes word ALONE in all of this, that Priefer meant what he supposedly said in a vindictive way against all gay people. Do you know how absurd that sounds? Almost as absurd as Kluwe is the only Vikings to hear it.
EVERYONE else has nothing but praise for Priefer.

It doesn't matter how smart he is. If he's bitter with the team and wants to make them look bad, he might make something up whether he's smart or not.
Now, I'm not sure if anything was said either, and I'm not taking any sides until I know what happened. But I'm just saying, he might have made something up, and he might not have.

How does my quote make me not tolerant? If it comes out he's that sicko minded and wants to nuke a certain group of humans...screw him. That's straight up hateful thinking.
I'll go with my gut on this and think Kluwe is telling the truth. Granted, I had a conversation with the dude after his band played at the bar...he seems like a pretty genuine dude.
Here's a random scenario btw: Let's say Walsh is defending Priefer and denying he said that stuff in the classroom...who's not to say he's telling the truth? Maybe him and Priefer are homies who agree about "nuking the gays"?

1) Lets get how smart Kluwe is out of the way. He is highly intelligent. He scored a 1490 on his SAT. Out of a possible 1600. Not many football players do that. He turned down Harvard to go to UCLA. It's been well documented how smart he is. I don't believe he would make something like this up just to get back at someone for firing him. He knows the ramifications of what can come back at him for making stuff up.
2) You know for a fact that he was the only one who heard it? He has stated that he has the names of others who heard it. He hasn't put them out there yet, but if he has to, I am sure he will.
3) "EVERYONE" else has praise for Priefer. Really. Think I have heard from 3-5 players. Not exactly everyone. And not one of them has said that he didn't say it.
4) Change the word "Gay" to "Blacks" in what he supposedly said, about sending them to and island and nuking them. Now, defend him saying that in a joking manner and see how far it gets you.
5) I'm not taking Kluwes word for it, and neither am I dismissing it as being sour grapes. If Priefer really didn't say it he has a slam dunk case in civil court against Kluwe. My guess is, that civil case will never happen. I would be willing to bet that Priefer is not willing to take the stand in a court of law. I am pretty sure something was said, being in a joking manner or whatnot. In todays world there is no tolerance for that kind of humor in the workplace.
6) You have to admit that out of all the players who have played in the NFL, there has to have been a few that are gay. The law of numbers dictates it. Now comes the question, what if one of the Vikings players in the room when it was said, if it was said, was gay? Still a joke?
7) I am not going to crucify Priefer at this point, nor am I willing to give him a pass. Same goes with Kluwe. In the long run the true story should come out.

Thank you. Some people, who are uneducated, think being gay is a choice though.

Everyone? Of course, except the 10 or more other special teams players who have chosen not to speak out in defense of Priefer.
And it really doesn't matter whether it was "vindictive" or not. The meeting room is not a locker room, it is a workplace. And Priefer is not a player. He is supposed to provide an example to his players and be a leader. Whether or not he truly hates gay people, saying something as vile as what he said in that environment is inexcusable, especially from a coach.

He's a fiery "players coach" that probably still thinks he's one of the guys. Who made a comment to give a player some ####. There are a lot of vile things said in that environment and no one has any issues with or ever see the light of day. This isn't an office building. We saw it with Incognito, and we're seeing it again. And it's two of hundreds of thousands of cases that no one ever appears to have enough of an issue with to be worth mentioning.
Comparing a bunch of grown men playing a game to the real world...there's your problem right there. Coaches and players...they all live in their own little world. And the "vileness" of the comment only makes me think it was intended to be a little ribbing given to a player rather then his actual belief that millions of people should be shipped to an island and murdered...

Also a possibility. Which is why I pointed out Kluwe will not see his desires "not to name names" honored. Management needs that information to properly respond to the incident once the truth is known. I specifically used that example (not Blair Walsh, but an 'unnamed player' who says, "Spot on, coach!").

What in the world does race have to do with any of this? Why would race even enter this conversation? And why do people like you have to name call? Always? Try arguing without it once.
This is about Kluwe getting revenge (he would have spoke out sooner if it was about gay rights or a coach actually saying the horrendous things Kluwe says he said). Some believe Kluwe, others, like myself, believe Smith, Walsh and Priefer, and think their character speaks louder then Kluwes. I could be wrong. But comparing Priefer to Himler is much worse. It sickens me, almost as much as people comparing this to race or a hero like Martin Luther King.

No one is comparing it to race. Let me spell this out for you.
Priefer supposedly said. "We should round up all the gays, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows." Ok, that's what Kluwe says he says.
Now, had he said this, "We should round up all the blacks, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows." We wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Same phrase, different group of people. Neither phrase is acceptable, in a joking or non-joking manner.
