I dont understand why people think that teams are just going to give up picks, valuable picks, for a guy that has trouble learning Turners offense/running routes, let alone another brand new one if he was traded. I mean do you think teams are blind and don't see Patterson's struggles?? It's just not even realistic if you really think he is going to be traded. This is the NFL, not Madden
Yeah I do, since Slick Rick got Seattle to give us a first and third rounder for Percy Harvin who had a lot of injuries.

What do you think would be the likely compensation for Patterson, then?

Percy had already played at a MVP level immediately prior to that trade though.

It amazes me how much interest a Packer fan has for the Vikings and how much time you spend on this board  are you sure that your not a Viking fan after all?

That is nothing even close. Percy was a legit playmaking that was the focal point of that WR corps. Patterson isn't that at all. So that still makes no sense

It amazes me how often you bring that up. You seem to be the only person on the board who has a problem with him and I don't understand why.

I have a strong dislike for the Packers and it goes way back. I am sure that he is not a bad guy and I never said he was but I am very curious as to why he or any other Packer fan would spend so much time on a Viking message board.
I have never seen any fan from any other team seem so very interested in what the Vikings do or what their fans are "talking about". So forgive me for asking

I assume it's because he's an NFL fan who likes discussing football and has an interest in one of his favorite team's biggest rivals.

However, it really doesn't matter why he's here. This is a place to discuss football and fans of any team are welcome as long as they obey the board's rules. I think it's great that he brings a different perspective the board.

I like Zug, just because he isnt a homer, like a few of the other reporters following the Vikings, doesnt make him any less qualified. He nailed exactly what I and some others have been saying about CP. Do you really want to listen to the same old Paul Allen types, or have a little mix to it. Ive read some articles where Zug is spot on with his praise for Zimmer and some Vikings players. It doesnt have to be all good, all the time. CP still has a lot of time to prove he is worth something other then a KO. He will be gone if he doesnt, and I can hear Zimmer saying something like 'he just didnt work out for us'. Is that going to make him a bad coach?

I would be shocked(unless something really changes) if Patterson is on next years roster(2016).
If he cost them a game with a miscue, they will let him go in some way shape or form.

In fact I think the only reason he makes this year, is the amount they gave up, to get him in the draft.

Well the Vikes are a longstanding division rival, and an immediate threat to the division title, imo.

Also this is a pretty well moderated and generally a very pleasent community to be a part of, so that certainly doesnt hurt. Its not that weird, there is a poster on this board that is registered at 3 seperate Packers boards under the same user name he uses here.

Yeah, it seems like people mainly want to read things that support their own feelings. Or at least their point of view. That goes beyond football and sports, but it seems the clearest when you talk about sports.

Good post, PK. Having "a little mix to it" is what I prefer. The same perspective over and over and over again with anything can get exhausting.

And, no, I definitely don't wanna hear all good all of the time, because sometimes things are bad, and I feel better when they're discussed!
